Honestly the worst OB a mother could have. Will do certain procedures without so much as informing you and then after he misses the birth, he won't even bother to look at your chart if you need stitches. Just went right to it without seeing if I was on any kind of painkillers (which I was not.) Horrible, probably the second worst OB in this town.

My experience, 2 words.. "Ablasion Surgery" that did NOT work, and has affected my quality of life in every aspect ever since. I found after that 9 times out of 10 this procedure is a temporary fix, NOT a permanant solution as I was lead to believe. I will tell as many women as possible this, as to save them the grief that I've had to go thru b/c of YOU! My very 1st complaint to my new GP was regarding the problems that I've had with my periods since I was a teenager, so Dr. Hergott being a seasoned OBGYN should've KNOWN I needed a hysterectomy and NOT ablasion surgery! Why my GP referred me to a "RETIRING" OBGYN is completely beyond me, but I FIRED her anyways! I ended up with more problems than before I went in and got this STUPID, USELESS procedure. You screwed up my right S.I joint while I was under general aneth and it causes me pain every day. I never had to take ANY medication before this procedure, and now have to take pain medication and anti-inflammatory more times in a month than not. I blame you, Dr. Hergott, for ALL of this. I recently had to have an internal and external ultrasound done because of you.. where it found that I have multiple cysts and 8mm endometrial stripe on the right side.. exactly where I complained the pain was. I have no idea what that means, however I'm sure it's NOT good! I hope where it is you are right now you're in a LOT of PAIN! A**hole.

Dr hergott was always such a pig, he made me as a young girl so uncomfortable. He’s highly inappropriate and now that I’m older and understand what happened I’m disgusted.

Was my Dr for 29 years. I thought he was amazing. He did surgery on me that helped my bleeding. I was told no more kids because my first pregnancy was not so good, he was on call for the late Dr Orr. He was a brilliant man. My second pregnancy I almost did not make it, I had another OB because Dr Orr passed away I was in my 8 th month. Delivery was aweful I hemorrhaged so bad I needed to have a D and C and a blood transfusion. I was in the hospital for a week, so sick, I was 110 pounds going in and was 200 pounds or more after surgery. i ended up going back to Dr Hergott. Because the Dr that delivered told me there was nothing she could do for me. So if having another child put me at risk of dying the next time, my husband thought it would be best that he go and have a vasectomy. I find out shortly after my uterus was bulged I needed surgery. It took a long time to get better but the bleeding was gone and I could go outside with my kids and enjoy them. I just was never told why I had so much complications? I was young. Sad thing is a Dr never thinks that 29 years later we will be asking for our records and what we find written in there is or can be very hurtful. I have lost respect for the Drs I have truly and honestly cared for. Shame on you! My heart is terribly broken. And I do believe that if they went back into my records both my husband and myself would of not needed surgery and I could of tried for a third baby like we wanted. So sad!

I'm sad to hear that Dr. Hergott is retiring. I've been his patient for 35 years. Very informative. Very kind and very easy to talk with., and in all those years, he has had the most amazing receptionists. Congratulations Dr Hergott. Enjoy your retirement.

I absolutely love Dr. Hergott. I have been seeing him now for almost 2 years and currently pregnant. I am grateful for his knowledge, honesty and will definitely miss him when he retires. I can't imagine having another doctor!
