I was concerned about an eye problem, was told IF it got worse go to emergency...offered an appointment 2 weeks away. They said since I hadn't been there in several years I was new patient 3 days later had emergency retinal surgery and they wondered why I wasn't seen by 1st doc I contacted. This was about 1 year ago. This was a staff issue,,,they didn't talk to Doc.
My spouse had gone there for years and always like them , although sometimes there were billing issues.

The office is one of the nicest in town with lots of room, helpful employees, good selection of glasses and is easy to get to from the Seward Highway. I felt that my exam was very complete, their equipment is really up to date, and I trusted their experience with my particular eye problem.

Terrible service in their billing department. By far the worst business I have ever dealt with. Stay away....

They have so many really nice glasses in the newest styles that I was thankful for the help and advise I got to help me pick out the best pair for myself.

Service was great. Very knowledgeable staff. Excellent selection of glasses. They have a the latest technology, and where very helpful with the issues I was having with my vision.

Best clinic I have ever been to. Didn't have to wait & eveyone was nice. Easy in & out & lots of parking space. The optical shop has great glasses. I couldn't decide & ended up getting two really nice pairs of glasses.

I did not see Dr. Nyboer, but instead saw Dr. Stemple and although I can't say anything negative about her at all, the billing department is terrible. We went to them because they were a VSP provider. The first time was fine, but our second visit a year later I still have received bills for because they did not bill the proper channels. The billing manager never did return any phone calls either. The only way I would return to this provider is by paying cash and skipping insurance altogether to save myself aggravation, or wait until they get rid of their "billing specialist".

Non-helpful staff memeber who did not call me for 1 month when my contacts where in. I called several times to ask if they were in only to get voicemail. I just ended up getting my contacts elsewhere and then they charged my for a return to shelf fee which i refused to pay and told them why. they inturn turned me over to collections. They looked down their nose at me when I showed them a VSP card and said "another VSP discount...it's not an insurance you know that right?" it's whatever my workplace had given me for vision coverage. Several of my coworkers also had the same experience with the VSP part and have changed Dr's offices since then.

He seemed nice enough until my second visit. He laughed when he discovered that he gave me the wrong perscription for a year. I thought that I was getting older and would never have good vision again. He didn't offer a discount, an apology or anything for his major screw up--two pairs of glasses down the drain, as well as contacts.

I was impressed with his knowledge of the latest in eye medicine. He was quick and thorough and gave me a referral to a specialist that was terrific in clearing up my eye problem. I got the impression that he is a respected person in the 'eye' business in this town.
