I've been Dr. Schuman's patient for many years and feel he is losing his edge. There are 2 concerns. I have Crohn's and called about whether I needed a colonoscopy and told me I was past due. Other good doctor's I use follow my care and contact me when things are needed. Much worse, his office shifted to a different prep which was ordered for me. I have stage 4 kidney disease and my nephrologist was alarmed that this was prescribed and when I called his office I was told that this was done for all patients. This is unsound and dangerous. It is up to the ordering doctor to prevent patients from getting medications that are contraindicated for a medical condition. I also have found his post-precedure processes rushed and find it difficult to communicate with him. Again, my other doctors provide portals to view the care and to communicate with the doctor.

I tend to have some anxiety when visiting Medical specialists. Dr Schuman has been treating me for nearly 15 years. He has performed two colonoscopies & an endoscopy. I have had several office consults & physical exams by him over the years. I find him to be very respectful , kind and he truly inspires confidence. He might be a bit quick...so I make sure to have my questions ready. I like him very much and recommend him.

If you are going for a regular procedure and you are not sick - this is a good office. If you have an illness, I would think twice. Poor communication all around - lack of follow-up with no resolve.

Dr Schuman has been my doctor since 2012. He did a colonoscopy at that time & recently performed another one 2016. I have been back to him this year complaining of issues I have been having with my stomach twice. Because he took a colonoscopy recently he recommended probiotics & go & have a good time on my Florida vacation. Luckily I didn’t listen to him, I went to another gastrologist and found out I have a tumor . I will never recommend him , was not professional at all

Not helpful at all. Very dismissive and definitely arrogant. After colonoscopy didn't even come over to talk with me and when I asked specific questions, he told me he was in a rush. Really? Told me stress was the cause of my pain and that "we women" stress too much. I've been suffering with stomach ailments for 6 years.

arrogant, dismissive, I think he lacks the compassionate gene needed to really care for the ill. horrible bedside manner. The group itself has many reputable doctors but the fear of having him care for me again if hospitalized made me go to another group.

I am a 29 year old female patient of Dr. Schuman's and I have suffered with IBS for a long time. I was treated elsewhere in the past, but switched to Dr. Schuman. not only is he compassionate about his job, he is an even kinder person. I feel very comfortable with him and am very condfident. BEST CARE AROUND!
