Dr. Hamilton has been a wonderful for me. I really don't understand any bad ratings. He listens, he is compassionate, punctual, goes out of his way for people, etc. He is a psychiatrist, so yes, he will use medication therapy. He also encourages psychological therapy. I've seen him for two years now and don't want to even consider another doctor. I've been a consumer in the mental health system for 30 years and Dr. Hamilton rates among one of the top doctors. Whoever sends out these bad ratings does not know how bad some doctors can get. To me, this one is a gem.

I was seeing Dr. Hamiliton on more than one occasion he said to me, "I don't believe there is anything I can do for you", he also stated to me over several occasions, "I don't know." What kind of Dr. tells a patient who is distraught I don't know? He has horrible beside manners, and I would consider him to be quite unprofessional. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Hamilton is very polite, professional, and punctual. He has been very open to listening to my concerns and questions. He sets aside plenty of time for patients and is always on time. He's also prompt at returning calls and has called in prescriptions when needed. My only complaint is the Secretary at the office is always loudly on the phone discussing politics which is very unprofessional.

Dr. Hamilton prescribed me meds with pretty strong side effects, when I asked if I could take OTC stuff to quell them he told me I needed to go to a drug and rehab facility. Very unprofessional and very rude. I was trying to be safe. Side effects can be deadly, but so can mixing meds OTC or otherwise. I have bipolar disorder - not a drug and alcohol problem. I would not recommend seeing this doctor, take your time and research other doctors. Find one who will take their time and care about you and not about quickly writing you a script. (On a side note: I would avoid the entire staff at this practice since they all seem to want to push pills. I said multiple times I did NOT want to be on medication that I wanted to find another way to control my bipolar disorder. Can't you tell I'm a real addict?).

This Doctor uses cuss words when talking to a patient, He only spends a few minutes with the patient, therefore I don't see how he can be treating the real problem.
