This doctor is not knowledgeable and not very helpful. The wait time is long and they are no punctual at all. Rude staff that thinks they are the only ones that provide services

She is very quick to answer all of my questions, as is her nurse when I use the website chat. She catered to my schedule for appointments which I am forever thankful for. She keeps me well informed without overwhelming me with information. Carrying my first child could’ve easily been overwhelming but Dr. Hemsell and her staff have made me feel at ease all along the way.

I wanted to have a home birth like my previous child and was nervous about a hospital pressuring me to do things their way and on their schedule. Dr. Hemsell made sure my birth experience was exactly what I wanted and empowered me to lead her and the staff throughout the labor and delivery. Her support allowed me to naturally deliver a 9 lb 14 ounce baby girl and I am forever grateful.

Terribly rude staff. Doesn't keep appointments and denies it to patients and lies about patients. Lafayette women deserve so much better.

This was my second time seeing Dr. Hemsell for my yearly checkup. She and her staff are always so friendly. I was in and out in less than 40 minutes; I've waited in waiting rooms to be seen by other doctors longer than that. They always make me feel comfortable and keep me informed as to what's going on. I wish my other doctors were more like her.

Dr. Hemsell seems eager to minimize her patient interactions; her nurse, Megan, is absolutely awful. I've never felt like less cared for in a medical environment than I did at Acadiana Women's Health Group. Don't let these people near your body - find someone better for yourself and/or your baby.

Complete waste of time. Nurse is beyond rude and the doctor clearly does not care about the wellbeing of patients. She also tries to force opinions without caring about your view on the subject. I will not waste my time going back there!
