Dr Snell was the attending on call for trauma and my “on call” trauma laceration and nerve reconstruction surgery. She showed no interest, in the surgery or my in hospital post op non existent hand rehab, despite being in the icu/trauma wards for 7 weeks. I wonder if it is because it was a procedure she does not have any interest in but was “stuck”supervising because she was on call for trauma.

I am so disappointed in her practice of medicine. I do not think that me being a trauma patient justifies her lack of care/interest in the surgery and follow up of the procedure that she supervised. I was not a breast patient ( I understand her specialty) but I was HER on call trauma patient.

Her lack of care was unfathomable. I understand that trauma call may not be her interest but her involvement in trauma call gives her a duty of care to the patients she provides surgery to. We deserve her care, appropriate follow up and rehab in a compassionate manner as I presume she gives her breast patients.

My lumpectomy in left my right breast horribly disfigured. Before my surgery I was a confident woman who had no self-image issues. That changed after my surgery. I was grateful that my cancer was caught in time but no longer felt proud of my breasts. Shortly after I was contacted by the nursing team at Sunnybrook and was told about the option of breast reconstruction and introduced to Dr. Snell. She patiently listened to my concerns and recommended a course of action. I went ahead with the surgery and have no regrets. Dr. Snell and her team were flawless and I can't thank them enough for how amazing my breasts look and I how I feel inside.

Just had double mastectomy with immediate breast reconstruction surgery performed by Dr L Snell. Dr Snell is an amazing doctor and amazing person. She's kind, loving, so easy to talk to and sensitive. She answered all of my questions thoroughly and listened to my concerns. I would definitely recommend her to all. She's done an excellent job on me. I am totally satisfied!. A big "Thank you" to Dr L Snell, staff at Sunnybrook, nurses of wing D, It's an amazing hospital, amazing doctors, amazing staff. Personal attention and kindness shown by Dr Snell and Sunnybrook staff helped me overcome my fears about my surgery. It was one of the toughest times in my life from the time I was told that I was a BRCA1 gene career and at hight risk of 85%. But, after going thru Gene consultation to Oncologist to finally having had the surgery at Sunnybrook, I have no words. Thank you so much and I pray to God that may you be blessed with good health, happiness and success and may He always fulfil all of your good wishes. Thank you to an amazing executive assistant, Joanna. NN
