Dr Kam was extremely thorough in his assessment of my disc injury, he provided detailed information about the risk v potential benefits of surgical intervention to assist inform my decision.

I had an excellent clinical outcome post surgery with complete resolution of my severe neuropathic pain and sensory loss.

The staff at the practice are receptive, courteous and prompt to respond.

I am a medical practitioner myself and would highly recommend Dr Kam to colleagues , family and friends.

Dr Kam is a highly competent surgeon with a lovely bedside manner.

I've nothing but admiration for Andrew Kam
He operated on my back about 5 years ago after finding out that I was very close to being crippled because of my back problem but thanks to Him & God my back is restore and my life changed for the better.

Performed high risk spinal surgery and charged me nothing. Explain all the risk of surgery which was not explained by my first surgeon who did the first operation on me and then wanted me to pay more for the second operation within 6 months.

Dr Kam never asked me for any additional fee and was happy to provide the operation in the public sector.

The first surgeon I saw in the eastern suburbs wanted more than $20,000 for the revision surgery.

I have pinched nerve at vertebrae C4 and C6. Dr. Kam's exact words were "give me $20000 and I will operate, but it will be useless. So I left.

Very thorough. Options given was detailed from no surgery to surgery. Started with medication. After 6 months of non-surgical treatment,I finally had surgery.

At 9 months, so far so good. The best i have been in 3 years. I know eventually I will need more surgery I have a slip vertebra that Dr Kam is hoping to avoid a fusion. At the age of 75, I would told by another surgeon that I need a 3 part operation in 3 separate days,.... front, then side then back for $30K.
I was surprised when Dr Kam said I could potentially avoid that big operation. So far so good.

I was experiencing severe pain and could barely walk without holding onto something.
Dr Andrew Kam explained in detail what the problem was and how to fix it - L4 and 5
disc fusion and bone graft. There was no pressure, very gentle and left decision to me.
As pain was unbearable and restricted every aspect of my life, decided to have surgery on 8th August 2021. This was the best hospital/doctor experience ever.
Follow up and attention to detail by Dr Kam was impressive. I am completely pain free, engaging in all physical activities, I feel I have a brand new back and I am 78.
Thank you Dr Kam, am forever grateful for the professionalism and kindness you afforded me.

I was a patient at Norwest Private Hospital, was seen by Dr Kam, I found him very upfront and compassionate, and understanding, he operated on my back for sciatic nerve problem, immediately after my operation when I woke up, the pain was completely gone.
Dr Kam continued to follow up with me, and I found him to be genuine and compassionate. I hold him in very high standings from start to finish.
I would recommend him to anybody, he is such a brilliant surgeon.
