Dr. Mertz is very kind and helpful, she got me in for a swollen tooth and relieved the problem. Her assistant is very comforting.

very condescending. makes a person feel horrible when trying to tell her what kind of pain 1 is having.

I found Dr. Mertz to be unbelievably knowledgeable and compassionate. She helped me understand my options and made me feel comfortable during the entire procedure. One of the better dentists in Bismarck.

My visit with Dr. Mertz was one of the worst I have ever had with a dentist. She is very condescending, and acts like I had no idea what I was talking about. She told me "your tooth can't hurt then, its not possible." Well lady, I have news for you. When I came back home to my dentist, they said I had a reinfected root canal, did the retreatment, and I feel much better. Dr. Mertz needs to learn how to listen to what her patients are actually saying. I would never recommend this dentist to anyone.
