I was 16 at the time and he judged me for using marijuana. It's impossible to call a therapist a professional when they are judgemental about something as harmless as using marijuana... he called me a dumbass and I walked out for good reason. If you want someone who is truly professional look elsewhere.

I went to Ben because no one else in the office was accepting new patients. I have bipolar Depression and take meds for it. Ben tried to tell me that I was not bipolar and that I was ADD? I've been checked several times by psychiatrist who all say I'm Bipolar. The ADD treatment was a nightmare.

I found Ben to be a breath of fresh air. My issue in complicated and he has bent over backward trying to help me. He is always reachable by phone and that says a lot about how much he really does care. He has helped me quite a bit. I feel lucky to have found him. He is very straightforward and honest. Some people are put off by that, but I wish all doctors would just talk to me like I am a regular person the way he does.

I initially gave Ben a very high rating. After 9 months of unsuccessful treatment, I must say, in my opinion he lacks knowledge in mental health medication prescribing. Long story, short-I am with a new mental health doctor, seeing positive results in less than 3 weeks, thanks to eliminating one medication. I am sure Ben successfully treats the majority of his patients, I just did not happen to be one of them.

Ben is a great nurse practitioner. I would recommend him to anyone. He can always be reached and that is very appreciated. He has a great knowledge of mental health medications. I cannot say enough good things about him. His office is neat and clean and his staff is better than the best.
