This anonymous poster is not our patient. No such encounter ever took place in our office. We are a brand-new practice in the Inland Empire. This individual clearly has a sinister agenda with the intent of deceiving patients who are looking for quality physicians committed to healthcare promotion. On May 30, 2023, we opened a beautiful, upscale medical practice in Rancho Cucamonga. The aesthetics of our office are both calming and therapeutic. Dr. Obey's vision for this practice was with the patient in mind. Dr. Obey has always had a holistic view of medicine. She decided to make this vision a reality when she opened her new practice. Dr. Obey opened this practice against the resistance of physician monopolies and hospital systems in the Inland Empire whose focus is to increase their revenue streams through increased patient volume to the detriment of quality healthcare. Monopolies are not healthcare-promoting. Just the opposite. Monopolies are a hindrance to good healthcare. It strips patients of their right to make informed choices. It is unfortunate that RateMD is complicit in allowing individuals to abuse freedom of speech through the posting of unsubstantiated claims. In healthcare misleading patients can and often does lead to adverse outcomes. The attempt to smear our business is not only because there are physician monopolies that do not want new practices in the area, but it is also because Dr. Obey is a known whistleblower and has been for more than 20 years. Dr. Obey is an ethical doctor who has a reputation for challenging the status quo. She has been a fearless voice against dangerous healthcare professionals and hospitals whose focus is their bottom line. Dr. Obey is a board-certified OB/GYN, and public health practitioner with a reputation for providing quality care to patients, advocating for their safety, and providing them with the tools to be their own self-advocates. She has held several medical licenses and has never had a history of adverse outcomes due to medical negligence. She has never had a medical board sanction or adverse reporting in the National Practitioner Data Bank. These are important criteria for patients to use when choosing their physician. Dr. Obey's ability to listen, combined with proficient clinical skills and wealth of knowledge is why she is sought out by patients whose medical needs have not been properly addressed by other healthcare providers. All a patient has to do is read the detailed reviews of actual patients who have attested to how Dr. Obey has either changed or saved their lives. Dr. Obey is a champion for women and women's health. She has been a vocal advocate for transparency in healthcare systems. Dr. Obey was one of the few healthcare providers and the only OB/GYN physician who had the courage to speak out in the LA Times against a powerful Pasadena Gynecologist who engaged in sexual harassment and gender violence against dozens of his patients, a behavior that was condoned by the hospital in Pasadena in which he worked for more than 30 years, and held leadership roles within despite his history of abuse. Dr. Obey has been a voice against healthcare inequities and has held accountable powerful systems that have provided substandard care to marginalized patients. She has reported unsafe hospitals to the Joint Commission and the Department of Health and Human Services. Dr. Obey is committed to diversifying our communities with the goal of recruiting strong clinicians to the area in an effort to provide patients with the quality options they deserve. Dr. Obey is a physician who cares. She is definitely a physician that patients can trust.
