I saw Dr. Dela Cruz in the ER for an urgent situation. She was everything you would want to have in a doctor: knowledgeable, kind, great bedside manner, and actually listened to what her patient had to say and took into consideration past experiences. I never once felt like I was just another appointment that she had to rush through. She took her time and explained all my options and did not coerce my husband and I into making one choice over another to fit her agenda. We felt well informed and that our options were based not only off of best practice standards (as they should be, but not all physicians adhere to) but also off of our specific scenario, as it was not straight forward or ‘textbook’ in the way things presented. Follow up was very thorough and I we felt well supported from the beginning of treatment until the end. Would highly recommend this doctor and I hope if I need to be referred to an OB again that this is who I can see again.

I heard so many good things about Dr. Dela Cruz. It was the first time seeing a gynaecologist as I was bleeding. I had passed menopause. She took a sample and sent it down to the Cancer Agency for a biopsy. Sure enough I had Uterine Cancer. Month (September/2018) later I was in the OR. The whole team in the OR including Dr. Dela Cruz was amazing. My surgery was not a simple one as they had to intubate me while I was awake. It took close to 2 hours to finally intubate me. I have seen her over the year and I’m still Cancer Free. She looked after me as a professional and as a patient who was scared. I definitely would recommend her when wanting to see a gynaecologist...💐👩🏼‍⚕️🙏🏻

I liked her, stayed with her for 7 years. BUT I have moved and am not able to get her to send my records to my new doctor. Requested several times, even stopped at her office to explain that I really needed the records. A year later and still no response. Not good! I’m surprised.

I have had Dr Dela Cruz for both of my pregnancies. Well, technically 3. She found my work number and called me at work (since I had my cell off) with my first at 28 weeks to tell me I needed to go off immediately on bed rest due to ultrasound results. To me, that easy above and beyond to make sure me and my baby were safe. Then after trying to conceive with no luck she was very informative and prescribed me medication and was able to become pregnant immediately, but unfortunately wasn’t long lived and lost the pregnancy. She was 100% supportive again and prescribed me a medication to prevent a miscarriage for the next time I became pregnant. During this pregnancy there were many complications and we opted for genetic testing. When she received the report back from Vancouver with some potentially life changing results she called me immediately to fully explain what was going on. Her and her staff were very helpful during the time I had to wait to go to BC Women’s hospital. Everything came back clear but she has been very diligent in making sure we keep receiving follow up and to continue monitoring fetal development. I am scheduled to have a c section with her soon to welcome this baby we would not have conceived with out her help and I will forever be grateful for this. To me she’s like superwoman. She’s always working so hard and always has a smile on her face and is kind. Ps, her staff is amazing too, they even babysat my 3yo for me since I had no one with me for one of my appointments while I went in to see her!

Dr. Dela cruz has single handedly ruined the lives of my entire family. My brothers baby was born with serious and extensive deformities(pfeiffer syndrome) which should have been caught even at the 20 week ultrasound. I forwarded the 20 week ultrasound post birth to our uncle who is a freshly retired x-ray specialist on the east coast and he noted cause for concern instantly. I get that doctors in general are overworked but when dealing with a high risk pregnancy she needed to be far far more dilligent. I actually mean diligent period as the parents questioned the ultrasound and her response was just that the tests are fine. Tests on paper mean nothing when they either cannot or do not test for markers for apert nor pfeiffer syndrome. A good doctor would measure facial features to determine abnormalities and a high risk pregnancy demands this simple extra step. This severely challenged but beautiful in his own way baby boy is now at the children's hospital in Vancouver and the parents can hardly hold themselves up being so overcome with sadness and despair for their baby who may not even survive. If he does live his life will be full of painful and extensive operations to even have 1/8th the quality of life we all hope to have. 1-100,000 is the chance of Pfeiffer syndrome. Just because it is a rare condition does not excuse her negligence in this matter. This truely is tragic but avoidable as she could avoided this outcome. I struggle to hold back my anger and tears to write this review in a passive manner but this one woman has not only given this poor child an everest size battle, she has severely affected the lives of us all. Even with the backing and support of my retired uncle and the best law firm in BC she will only have receive slight stain on her record as there is no true recourse for negligent doctors. I truly hope you read this Ms. Dela Cruz and you learn a lesson at the very least. Our family deserved your best but received the most intense sadness life could throw at us.

Had minor surgery and the experience from the initial visit to the day of surgery was terrific. I would certainly recommend this doctor to anyone seeking a great gynecologist!
