Completely uninterested. Does not listen at all and seem to only care about getting done in as little time as possible. I had my IUD removed and mentioned I was trying to get pregnant and at the end of the appointment she asked if I wanted birth control. She doesn't make notes, she called me 3 times in one week to go over test results and forgot she called me every time. She always asks me if this is my first visit with her even though I have been seeing her for years. Started a new Rx and she told me to come back in 4 weeks to get more/ see if it was working and then my appointment got cancelled and turns out she's away for 3+ months and didn't mention anything.

Dr. Osato in her current location in Calgary, AB puts in the minimal amount of effort needed per visit (my full physical exam consisted of checking my heart beat, ears, and asking how much I exercise, that's all...). At my first visit with her as a new patient, she suggested (without any introductions) for me to immediately change medications, without knowing which type I am currently on. Second visit I sat in the doctors office for 45 minutes waiting, and when I asked the front desk staff when the doctor will see me, it was clear they forgot about me in the room. Not a single apology. My referral to the specialist also led to nothing after 4 weeks.
Overall, this doctor does not build trust with their patients, doesn't ask about any medical history and seems to be very superficial in their examinations and diagnoses.

She is one of the best doctor's I have ever seen. She takes time to listen and provide care, at least with me.

I appreciate the short wait time despite her busy schedule. I follow the clinic policy to discuss one issue at a time to get a proper assessment. I do not mind booking follow up appointments so as not not keep other patients waiting as well.

I found Osato to be light of joy compared to her husband. he probably is the cause of her bad days.

I am very pleased with the care I receive from Dr. Osato.

My diabetes was poorly controlled because I did not take my medications.

However,  with every visit, Dr. Osato motivated me to change my attitude,  . When I was not ready to change, she referred me to a diabetes counsellor.  Because she cares about my health, I now make healthy choices. My diabetes is now well controlled. I am also working on losing weight.

Dr. Osato is very considerate and kind. I do not feel rushed, and my appointment with her is always worth the time.
