Great Doctor
Wonderful, helpful, never rushes you and always up for a laugh.
Her Knowledge is very good and if she does not have the answer (that is rare) she will go find it and let you know.
Also Dr Rebecca is one of those rare GPs who makes you feel comfortable on your first visit and on wards! Thankful that we found her and that we have such an awesome DR on the Sunny Coast! Only negative that I can say is that there needs to be more than one of her as she is booked up and busy but shows that she is great at what she does.

She is a good doctor, but the medical center she works out is terrible and the other doctors she works with (whom you see when she is unavailable or too busy) are hopeless.

I had a few issues starting out with the Murrumba Downs medical centre. Even after having my records sent from another centre. I stumbled across Dr. Rebecca Cattell one night a few months ago and she really made me feel like she cared. Best "common sense" GP I have seen in years. I phoned to see her today (9/8/16) and was extremely disappointed to hear that she had left the Murrumba Downs Medical centre.

If anyone knows where Dr. Cattell has moved on to, please let me know! You can email: cantbgoode@hotmail.com

Thanks!

started to see Dr Cattell September 2015 and since then she has become my primary doctor. After years of experiencing chronic back pain and only having had a lumber X-ray order and told it was mild scoliosis Dr Cattell ordered a Lumber and sacrum CT scan which showed my L5/S1 disc to have a major prolapse onto the right defending nerve root. Now am set for corrective surgery. Dr Cattell has been amazing on getting my pain under control. She is hesitant to start any of her patients on any narcotics but knows exactly when they are required to assist for pain free living. Dr Cattell also has been managing my mental health that previously was diagnosed as GAD (generalised anxiety disorder) secondary to that depression. After a few long consults with Dr Cattell regarding my deteriorating mental health she made the diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder type II and immediately had a referral to a psychiatrist. Dr Cattell is the best GP I have ever seen. She gets to know you as a person and all aspects of you life so she can treat you hollistically.

I can not rate my GP high enough. I have been seeing Rebecca Cattell since November 2011 and in that time I have had a two spinal surgeries. She has been so helpful and knowledgeable and always listened to us and was there to work with my specialists and care providers. She always explains what she is doing or looking for and can put the specialists words in to simple language. She is very knowledgeable and now looks after my whole family. When needed she is very happy to spend more time with you to make sure that everything is covered, and that you know what the outcomes should be. She does not take appointments and works in a clinic so the wait can be long to see her, but it is worth it. Dr Cattell can tell the difference between dr shoppers and people looking for scripts so if this is you please don't waste her time, and she calls DDU which I am happy about. The staff at the clinic are nice and when needed there is a treatment room. Highly recommended.
