I first met Dr. Shoebridge in July 2023 at the Welland Hospital for a procedure he was completing that morning called a cystoscopy . He was referred to me by my family doctor. I am so thankful to have had this amazing individual and medical mind take care of my bladder cancer. After 2 successful surgeries , he advised me today that I am cancer free. What I found so refreshing was during this very difficult time in my life, he made sure to explain in depth to my wife and I next steps all along the way. His compassion and empathy towards his patients is second to none. I can fully attest to that. Thank you Dr. Shoebridge and Medical team

I went to dr. Shoebridge for a problem I was having with erectile dysfunction in my mid 40's. First I waited 9 months to see him. Then he came late and distracted. He asked me a few gereral questions and gave me a prescription for Viagra. He didn't even look into or talk to me about the many reasons why a person could suddenly have a problem with ED. Was it physical or something mental? After 9 plus months of waiting, he threw a prescription at me and then to top it off, he said he was in a rush to see another person. If his own son came to him with this problem at my age, would he have quickly thrown him a prescription for viagra or would he have maybe tried to dig a bit deeper to find out what may be going on, if there was something else that was causing the sudden of his erectile dysfunction?
I waited a long time to see this doctor. He didn't give me the time of day. He just wanted to be somewhere else it seemed. That's not diagnosing a problem, that's throwing pills at a person that came to you for help to get him out your door.
Having said that, he was not overly rude or anything. Maybe I just caught him on a bad day or at a bad time. Reading some of the other comments, some people really were helped by this man it seems.

After being referred to this doctor, I called his office as I was having pain from kidney stones. The receptionist Diane was so pleasant and seemed concerned regarding my situation (newborn at home) and had Dr. Shoebridge call me the same day to provide guidance. Diane even looked out for my scans and called when she didn’t seem them a few days later to check in (I had them done but the hospital had not reported them). Luckily, I did not end up needing intervention but I had a great experience with both the staff and doctor. Thank you so much!

I want to thank Dr. Shoebridge for his excellent care. I have had been to the ER multiple times with a kidney stone. The ER kept sending me home saying another urologist that I as referred to would call to set up a consult the next week. I heard nothing for two weeks and went back to the ER. He saw me put me on the emergency list and had my stone blasted with the laser. Although I had a stent, which was still uncomfortable the pain was much better. I got my stent out after a week. I am now feeling fine.

I had a large kidney cancer diagnosed 15 cm. He met me, answered all my questions and put me at ease. I had my left kidney removed laparoscopically and I am happy to say I am four year out and still in remission. I have been really pleased with his care.

I have absolutely no concerns with this doctor. He has helped me with both kidneys stones and bladder cancer over a few years.
