You will never ever find a better more caring surgeon than Dr Simon Elix. He is the most caring doctor and the person who bagged him is talking about someone else as he is the boss as you call it. I have had both hips and a knee replaced by this amazing caring doctor. Another knee to be done but he is the only doctor to do it. If you can't say something positive about him then say nothing at all.

One of the most knowledgeable and skillful yet down to earth surgeons I have ever come across. This guy is way more advanced than other orthopaedic surgeons - I was given my activeifeste back after he operated on me. And my scar was almost non-existent while my other friends’ scars look like railway tracks because they got operated on by other (older and more backward) orthopaedic surgeons in Hervey Bay.

I had a total knee replacement last week the first time I saw dr elix prior to my op I immediately liked him he was so friendly and kind explained everything to me and listened to all my questions I asked he also came every day to see me after my op even saturday best doctor ever !!!! Certainly knows his job wonderful bed side manner which a lot of other drs dont have recomend him highly janette

I have nothing but good feelings for this doctor and what he did for my wife. she has been in agony for 3 years and everyone else kept telling her that she needs physio and to lose weight. he was the first person to listen to her story and make effort to treat her like a real person. she can now walk without a limp, sleep without pain and is finally free from the disability that has limited her life.

I had my rotator cuff fixed by sports med and it went very badly. Not only did I get a germ in the shoulder but my muscle ripped off the bone and I ended up worse than ever. When a friend told me about Elix and his good results from fixing the shoulder I went to see him. He spent heaps of time with me and was really understanding and respectful. It took him 2 operations to fix me up. The first one was to get rid of all the crud that the hack from sports med put in there. The second was to actually fix the shoulder once and for all. I felt better within weeks and finally got my shoulder back. The most impressive thing was that he never criticised the other doctors or big noted himself. He was honest and caring. I was literally saved by his skills and care. Best doctor I ever met.

whoever wrote the comment below must be mistaken because he does not have a 'boss'. Maybe you had a bad experience with his registrar? Probably should learn who you are talking about before you troll about the wrong person! He is an honest doctor who tells people how it is. Great experience from my point of view.
