I’ve been meaning to write this review for some time now. Because of reading negative reviews of her I was a little nervous to go. BUT I was very pleased with her. She explained this well, listened to me, very gently (whole apologizing for any discomfort) checked the area of concern, she prescribed a cream to see if it would disappear after using it. It did not disappear. She had me come in for a biopsy and she checked with other specialists and double checked with the radiologist who read the biopsy. Her manner was professional, kind and thorough.
I would go back to her any time. It may have helped that I arrived with a good attitude . . .

I had to stick with her through my 3rd pregnancy. Her staff was awful and she was too. I've waited in ger office for over 2 hours... I get it if she was delivering babies. Nope. I can't belive the positive reviews there are. She caused so much stress in my life and I dreaded visits with her more than anything. She was very invasive and didn't explain things first. I am beyond happy I had a different obgyn deliver my baby. It was a happy experience and not made to feel like garbage.

Was running insanely late, did not apologize. Then told me I may have cancer but turns out I did not. Bedside manner was terrible. I would appreciate that she keeps her diagnoses to herself until pathology tests come back.

Horrible doctor. She told me a diagnosis before having facts and tests completed. I didn't have a good experience with this doctor.

Dr. Lajoie has excellent bedside manners. She is calm, looks you straight in the eye, treats you like a human being and genuinely cares about you before, during and after surgery. I had an abdominal hysterectomy and there was a sudden challenge that came up during surgery and she dealt with it very professionally and I am so thankful that she was my surgeon.

Amazing Dr. she was very on top of things during my concerning pregnancy- during my C section she was very calm and reassuring! I cannot rave her enough. My incision was so well done and small- from the nurses I had they all said she was great and “ does it all by the book”

I had Dr Lajoie for my pregnancy. She was extremely professional and I always felt that she was taking good care of me. I also found the receptionist to be very friendly.

The receptionist is a disaster. Be concerned about your confidentiality.
They do not care about the patient. Just want to get you in and out. No patient care or concern.

I was very pleased with the information and options she provided (one of which my previous specialist had not mentioned) and with the surgery she subsequently performed. She seems both efficient and skilled.

As I am up sleepless again tonight due to the recurrent nightmares I experience from her, I feel compelled to agree with the horrific experiences expressed by others here. I am beside myself with fear of running into her again since I am currently requiring care, and I would seriously avoid delivering in this city again due to fear of having to be cared for by Dr. Lajoie. She caused me excruciating agony by digging elbow deep three times for my placenta less than 20 minutes after I delivered at home because she would not believe me I knew the time of birth, did not offer me pain medication and I was screaming at the top of my lungs, crawling up the hospital bed, begging to be given the opportunity to deliver my own placenta by pushing within a safe window of time. This was my second quick home birth and I was blissful when I entered the hospital at 7 am, dismissed by noon with horrific memories that have caused a great distrust in that hospital's care. I felt absolutely abandoned by the nurses and completely ignored in a situation when I was alone but confident in my birth plan, with no risks, after my 2nd quick and easy home delivery. She steals our joy every time flashbacks cause me to dissociate while breastfeeding my beautiful baby, and I truly hope she reads this and reconsiders her reckless behaviour towards patients in a very vulnerable position by requiring the kind of care she provides. The polarity of her reviews makes me wonder how she could subject some of her patients to cruelty while cater on others with information and support. Catch her on a bad day and she will ruin your relationship with your body.
