Laurie was a brilliant guide through both of my children's births. She was so calming and cool, but also assertive and factual. She made me feel like I was in full control the whole time by educating me about my options. What a sweet and smart woman.

Laurie was amazing during my pregnancy and post labour. She provided me with ample accurate information during my pregnancy. At 33 weeks my health took a decline, and she was quick to respond, support and provide the necessary information as my care was turned over to a OB and I was admitted into the hospital for emergency treatment. Though I was being monitored by several doctors and nurses, she was consistently checking in, interpreting the information that was being provided to me in an easier to understand format, and advocating for me, along with Yvanne (another Midwife- Laurie's midwife partner).
I was induced and my daughter was born at 34 weeks. She was cared for in the NICU for several weeks. Yvanne was present throughout the induction and vaginal birth and was amazing support- Laurie has picked an amazing partner to practice midwifery with.
Experiencing post labour complications I too stayed at the hospital. Laurie and Yvanne checked in frequently, answered the many questions I had, and provided advise and support as I struggled to get my milk to come in.
After both my daughter and I came home, Laurie or Yvanne checked on us frequently. Our daughter was only 5 lbs coming home from the hospital so they took the extra care to come regularly to ensure her weight and health was good.
Throughout my experience I always felt as though I was in the best care. In fact, I do not think I could have possibly received any better care. I would not hesitate to recommend Laurie (and Yvanne) to anyone who is considering using a midwife (and to those who are not!).

Laurie was a steady and calming presence throughout my pregnancy and my somewhat difficult delivery. I am so blessed to have been in her care.

I am so thankful to have had Laurie as a midwife. She is knowledgeable, caring, supportive and an absolutely amazing person. She is amazing at her job and is there for the mom and the baby. She provides information needed throughout your pregnancy to ensure you have a safe birth. I had a difficult pregnancy with having been told that I had complete placenta praevia and she helped me feel at ease with the change in delivery; vaginal vs c-section. However I was lucky enough to have my placenta move enough that I was able to have a vaginal birth, not once during my entire pregnancy/situation did she ever pressure me or force anything on me; she only advised what is best for baby and mom. Laurie is an amazing woman and midwife. With my birth she had such a calming affect for both me and my husband during the delivery and we couldn't have done it without her support.
She was supportive during the pregnancy, birth and post-natal care. For anyone looking for a midwife, you would be so lucky to have Laurie.

I am so thankful I was able to have a midwife and even more grateful that it was Laurie. She is amazing! Not only is she caring, non-judgmental and supportive, but she's also extremely competent and skilled at what she does. I always felt completely at ease in her care. She was with me throughout my entire delivery and was a tremendous support for both my husband and me. We couldn't have done it without her. The post-partum care is also wonderful and I appreciated knowing that she was there and willing to come to my house if I needed her for anything. If you're debating on whether or not you should get a midwife, stop right now...midwives ROCK and Laurie is fabulous:)

Laurie was our midwife for the birth of our first baby. However, before we were pregnant with him I experienced 2 miscarriages and Laurie was so supportive throughout that process. So when we found out we were expecting again we called Laurie immediately. She was amazing throughout the pregnancy, very informative and completely respectful and supportive of our decisions. We had a planned homebirth, and we laboured at home for over 20 hours with Laurie's support until she recommended we transfer to the hospital due to me pushing for over 2 hrs at home without progression. Our son was born via caesarean because of his position, and Laurie supported us with so much compassion through this process, knowing it was the last thing we had planned. The 6 wks of post partum visits were so amazingly helpful, I have no idea how people survive without a midwife! Laurie provided us with the best possible care imaginable, and we look forward to having her as our midwife in the future! She is amazing!

Laurie was absolutely amazing, warm, caring and knowledgeable! Shr always took the time to go over all options, test results and explain everything! She never made you feel rushed during appointments. She was always happy to answer my MANY questions! I can't wait to see her again when we have our next baby! We really missed her after our 6 weeks after our daughter was born. I would reccommend her to anyone.
