My breast reduction by Dr McGovern has changed my life! I couldn't be happier with my results. Everybody at Vie Institute was kind and helpful and were happy to answer any questions I had. Dr McGovern was patient with me and I felt completely safe. I am only 2 weeks post op and my scarring is already healing so quickly and I am happier than ever. I would happily recommend him to anybody looking to have this surgery.

Dr McGovern is very good at what he does, scarring has practically disappeared after having a skin cancer removed. Pleasant and easy to deal with.

I recently had a skin cancer removed from my face by Dr. McGovern. Although it was just a very small spot on the surface, it had spread deeper and wider underneath, requiring a "flap" to be done in surgery. The result is amazing! The scar is well hidden and is reducing every day. Dr. McGovern's staff were very knowledgeable, caring and kind, and happy to spend time answering my many questions. It made me feel very safe and confident.
I would highly recommend Dr. McGovern and his staff to anyone.

Couldn't recommend Dr McGovern enough. My results were better than I could have ever imagined. It has been several years since my surgery with Dr McGovern and I am still extremely happy with the results. Would definitely see him for any other cosmetic procedures I may have in the future and recommend him to all of my friends and family.

My breast surgery was disaster. I looked like I had been in a car accident. Had a stitch come out, could get past the reception to get it replaced. Swelling was awful. Double bubble, excessive large, wanted a 'c' came out with an 'f'. One breat rotated. McGovern was rude, blamed me. Wanted me to pay several thousand to correct it. DO NOT GO TO HIM. I am now going to another surgeon to have corrective surgery.

Dr McGovern did a rhinoplasty on my daughter around 9 years ago, was not a complete success and needed a second surgery several years later. Needless to say did NOT go back to him for the revision surgery. What I most remember was his rudeness and arrogance and certainly did not want to ever have to deal with him again, had not reviewed before this but I realise I would have appreciated reading these reviews back then and would have made a different choice of surgeon.

Dr McGovern performed a rhinoplasty about 14 years ago. Although his staff were lovely, I would never go back to him for surgery. When my swelling went down I saw that my nose was slightly crooked whereas before the surgery it was perfectly straight. The reason is because on the left side of my nose bridge there is a massive chunk of bone missing which I’m guessing he did with the chisel or whatever they use. This gives the septum or cartilage no support that side. The other thing I was very unhappy about was the post surgical droopy piece of skin that lies in the middle of nostrils. It looked ridiculous making my nostrils look huge. That was never what I asked for. When he corrected this he gave me a local anaesthetic and cut into it before the anaesthetic was fully working. I wanted to cry but feared that if I did he would get angrier than he already seemed. I’m seeing another plastic surgeon this month to see if he can straighten my nose and fill in the visible dent from the lack of bone on one side.

I am a female in my early 20s and went to see this doctor for a consultation. He was completely rude and arrogant and refused to go into any detail about the surgery I was about to pay $4000+ for. I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable to ask any questions about the surgery. Decided to find another surgeon after paying for a very expensive consultation with this man only to leave with minimal information and feeling very uncomfortable. Would not recommend if you want to feel comfortable with the person who will be performing surgery on you. Will say that the nurse whom I saw after the consultation was very lovely and tried to give me more information, hopefully she finds elsewhere to work - not under this very rude man.
