First time visit: Aggressive Pap smear: shoved in speculum and left me bleeding(afterwards she said I might have swelling, (I’m knowledgeable enough to know that this is unacceptable),”surprise” rectal exam: no warning. Aggressive breast exam. I’m all my years I’ve never experienced such an unnecessarily rough exam with no verbal warnings of what she was doing. Time to stop taking out your aggression on patients and time to retire Dr. Margulies….

Dr.Margulies has made comments to me that I find rude and abrasive. I feel disrespected after an appointment with her. I will never see this doctor again after I left her office crying.

Dr. Margulies was my gynecologist for about 10 years. Until I reached the menopausal period everything was ok. Unfortunately my case with menopausal symptoms was unusual - my main complaints were depression, anxiety, panic attacks, spikes in blood pressure, chest pains, etc. My primary care physician figured out (after sending me twice to the hospital with abnormal EKG) that it is all hormonal and prescribed me estrogen patch - which done a miracle for me. Again unfortunately I needed a higher dose to remove the symptoms (and it took months if not years to figure out). Dr. Margulies took over my HRT and for some time everything was good (except when I started bleeding it took her 3 months before she cleaned up my uterus, after I became anemic, which she never told me, I found it in my records). So for a year I finally felt good being on progesterone and estrogen but Dr. Margulies didn't want me to get too comfortable - she started decreasing my dosage of estrogen (I'm sure for all the good reasons except my well being) - first 30%, then in 6 months - 50%. After my dose was cut in half all my symptoms returned with a vengeance - mood swings, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, head aches, insomnia, heart palpitations ( I'm not talking about hot flashes and night sweats, I can't care less for these), and the last drop was when my heart stopped - just for couple of seconds but it was terrifying (especially knowing that my sister had the same symptoms and had a sudden death at 54). I called their office, spoke to the nurse, described all that was happening to me after Dr. Margulies cut my estrogen in half, and was promised that the info will be sent to the doctor and she will reply. It's been 2 days now - no response. I could not believe any doctor would just abandon their patient like this - but now I do.

Sahron Margulies was unhelpful and abrasive with her comments. I changed doctors after seeing her for years. She suggested I have relations with my spouse even though I suspected that he was being unfaithful. She thought that would help my "then" marriage. What insane advise! And dangerous too.

excellent office and staff, very busy. No wait for Dr Margulies, you wait for others in the practice but worth it.
