I have been going to MERSI and Dr Anesi for going on two years. The staff is always cheerful and helpful. MERSI is a teaching facility so there is always a "fellow" who does the workup on you followed by an intense review by Dr. Anesi. While I am never happy to be going there for my condition I always know I will be treated relatively quickly and I really like Dr Anesi on a personal level as he is always willing to talk about the course of action and what I can expect from the treatment plan. Highly recommend him and the MERSI group.

Because of my persistent uveitis and my extreme myopia (-17), I was out of options. Fortunately my opthamologist referred me to Dr. Anesi's office. In a very short time Dr Anesi had my uveitis under control and surgically replaced my natural lenses with "multifocal" lenses (caterac surgery). My vision has gone from a "-17" to the day after surgery seeing 20-20. Not only that, I don't require the use of any reading glasses (I’m 56 years old), I don't even own a pair of glasses or contacts! This has given me a whole new quality of life not needing glasses, going from nearly blind (without glasses) to 20-20. I have to admit I was at a low point when my Opthamologist said he "couldn't help me any longer" and my vision was deteriorating. From the time of my very first visit with Dr. Anesi my life just continued to get better and better. He and the entire staff are always extremely positive and they wouldn't listen to any negatives about not being cured. I simply can't find enough ways to describe how wonderful Dr. Anesi is. I would recommend Dr. Anesi to everyone, I can certainly see why people travel so far to see him, he is the best, truly a great guy and an amazing doctor.

I have been a patient of MERSI for three years. This place is horrendous. They obviously know their stuff, however the rudeness of the staff and arrogance of the doctors have put me off. I have never been seen in under two hours, except in one instance where I told them up front I had to be elsewhere. No one ever apologizes for the lateness of appointments or even bothers to apprise you of what is going on. They obviously feel that you have nothing else going on in your life and they are worth waiting for. Not any more!!!
