Dr. Eslami comes across as one of those "I know what's best" doctors. I am an educated person and appreciate doctors that WORK WITH ME to determine the best course of action. There are certain things I would really like to avoid (certain medications) and there are a ton of things I will consider doing to improve my health. However, Dr. Eslami basically said "this is how we're going to do this." I may be in the minority... but I appreciate a doctor that respects my opinions/needs/inputs to the process. So far, Dr. Eslami does not strike me as such a doctor. But Dr. Eslami knows best. (He IS a doctor, after all, and I am clearly not.) If you have feelings about what will work for you and what will not, I would NOT recommend seeing this doctor. However, if you want "good care" and can deal with being told what, when, and how to do it, he's pretty great. He does explain WHY he says what he does. But he does NOT do well at listening and accounting for specific patient needs.

Dr. Bahram Eslami's staff was extremely courteous and respectful. However, Dr. Eslami was TERRIBLE! Instead of asking "why are you here?", he decided to lecture me on cutting back on dairy products and exercise. If he would have taken the time to LISTEN, he would have learned that I am lactose intolerant and exercise 6 days a week. He was very condescending, and was not concerned with my rationale for seeking cardiology care. He was even rude to my son.

Dr. Bahram Eslami treated me with respect and kindness. He listened carefully and at no time did I ever feel rushed. He fought hard with my insurance company to get the test he wanted me to have despite the fact that they denied it first time. The test he ordered may have well saved my life. Go see this Doctor he is one of the best!!!!!He may save your life next!!!!

His treatment of patients is how it used to be years ago when doctors still made house calls.... Seems genuinely interested, doesn't rush, and is extremly kind. He is a perfect example of how doctors should treat their patients.
