Dr. Rupa Roopchand is the among the worst psychiatrists that I have met. When I was traumatized by another psychiatrist's nasty authoritarian behaviour and who abused his power, it was Dr Roopchand who disrespectfully and inconsiderately dismissed the idea that the particular doctor did anything wrong and started to accuse me of having a chip on my shoulder and claimed that since it is not in a doctor's training to be vindictive that he could not have been, when he clearly and unquestionably was. Dr. Roopchand also started criticizing me in a manner so over the top harsh that even the nurse in the room was shocked and uncomfortable. When I explained that I was wrongly placed in the forensic hospital which is why the Court of Appeal overturned it she started to getting mean and argumentative and said ' I don't know who believes you''. She even wrongly accused me of choosing to stay at the hospital when it was entirely not my call but the judgment call of the psychiatrist. She is altogether an awful psychiatrist who is harsh and without a heart, I would steer clear of her. She even threatened to put me on a mental health act form despite that it was a legal mistake for me to be placed at the forensic hospital according to the Ontario Court of Appeal and I was doing well at the time.
