She took over from previous doctor and has attitude she could care less. Went for a physical and it was literally listen to my chest and I am not kidding looked at my hands. No hello, introduction, how are you feeling...nothing. Came across as she could care less. And as an elderly male I was not expecting her to check my prostate but she could have at least asked how things are going down there. I guess she does not care about men or men issues.

I have been seeing Dr Whitfield for almost two years! She is the most understanding doctor that i have ever been to. She takes time with me and doesn't rush me out. I have been very pleased with her bedside manners and knowledge. Her staff is also the best. Never any problems with appointments and always curtious. I love being able to know i can get appointments without waiting months. I highly recommend Dr. Whitfield.

l visited this doctor after she had taken over from my previous doctor who recently retired. I will never, ever go back to see her. I told her i had seen the previous doctor for over 30 years and had waited two months to see her and she acted like i had not said a thing and that she had no desire to retain me as a patient. I have a very had time falling asleep at night and she simply refused my virtual pleadings for her to write a prescription for a sleeping aid which most doctors will write but she flat out refused...hense i was almost awake for an entire week. She prescribed me something that was little more effective than a sugar pill. After a long wait in the exam room she came in and said she had my prescriptions ready for me then she led me out, showed me the door and then handed the scripsts she wrote for me to the receptionist and the receptionist handed the scripts to me. I'm not a child...i had just told her i was a patient there for 30 years and yet she felt the need to show me the door. The other doctor would hand me my scripts in the exam room to see what she had written me but i couldnt do that because she wouldnt hand them to me. Will never go back. Choose your doctor wisely.

Dr. Whitfield is a wonderful Doctor, she takes the time with me to listen to every detail of my problem and will discuss her plan to help me. She is very honest with you and does not sugar coat her answers, however, she is so kind and helpful, but honest. Who would want a Doctor who tells you what you want to her or do you want one to tell you the truth. This Doctor is one of the best primary care Dr.'s around . Dr. Whitfield is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Liked her at first. She was a family Dr caring for myself and children. My 17 year old son was having suicidal thoughts and his therapist suggest that I get an appointment with her to get him started on medication. I had been to the ER and Albany clinic and was working on getting him in decatur west when I was sent to her. Let's just say she treated me like I had done nothing to help my son. Ordered us out of her exam room and held the door open. As a mom trying to learn about why this was going on with my son and the worrying that came along with the suicide thoughts my child was having I never thought I would have been treated so rude. No eye contact, she just look disgusted with me. I have never felt so degraded. I was obviously trying to get my son help and only came to her because I was taking the steps I had been directed to take by the therapist. I will never go back to her.

She is abrasive and no personality, no bedside manner at all. Stay away, there are better options around here.

Dr. Whitfield accused my wife of lying, or in her words, being dishonest. Not true! My wife answered her questions honestly. Dr. Whitfield then informed my wife that she needed to find another doctor, after being her patient for almost 2 years. Another incident was when she kept telling my wife that aches and pains are to be expected with age. After I got involved, Whitfield agreed to have a MRI ran, which disclosed a anomaly that required a neurosurgeon and brain surgery. Do not waste your time with this doctor!

Both my husband and I saw Dr. Whitfield. He was kept waiting for an hour in the exam room, when he walked out, no one seemed to care. A saw the Dr without issue until my yearly appointment, when the office staff changed an appointment that I had had for a YEAR and confirmed a few months earlier without telling me. When I mentioned this was a problem the receptionist was extremely rude. So I walked out. Dr. Whitfield is a good doctor but I think leaving someone in the exam room and not even calling to apologize and changing an appointment without notice seems to be the norm here. Do not recommend.
