He gave my wife an expired medicine and wrong prescription.

So many of the other comments are true. He does not really listen to the patient. He has misdiagnosed me a few times. I always feel like I’m wasting his time. Will not give prescriptions for 6 months., which I don’t get as he’s always overbooked. Wish I could find another Dr but these days that’s impossible.

I found that he didn’t really listen to me before jumping in with a diagnosis. I was ending up at walk in clinics all the time to get a correct diagnosis. Pain in my left side he said was a strained muscle, ended up being an enlarged spleen. A sore knee he diagnosed as arthritis, ended up being a torn meniscus. A lesion on my face that he said was not precancerous ended up being squamous cell cancer. Numbness in my fingers on both hands and he told me to do neck exercises.
I was done after that and refused to go back to see him. Again I had to go to a walk in clinic and the Doctor ordered several blood tests. The numbness ended up extending to both feet and a neurologist diagnosed me with peripheral neuropathy. I was lucky enough to find a new Doctor and she is amazing. What a difference!

I have had Dr Mangat as a GP for several years. A lot of what the other reviews I have read ring true. He is arrogant but I am willing to let that go. I am a nurse and have worked with all sorts of personalities over the years. However what I struggle with is Dr Mangat’s reluctance to refer. I went to him after a bad fall skiing. The original X-ray in ER was inconclusive due severe swelling. I followed up with Dr M 3 weeks later after seeing a physiotherapist. I asked for a follow up X-ray, as suggested by my physio as I was not making any significant progress. Not only did he chastise me but he said my physiotherapist should know better. He indicated I had a soft tissue injury only requiring range of motion exercises . After a couple more weeks of no improvement I went to a walk-in clinic. The doctor there sent me off immediately for X-rays. Sure enough my ankle is broken and I’m now off to an orthopedic surgeon. I feel Dr Mangat is stressed and feel perhaps his hectic clinic is compromising his mental health. Over the COVID years he is much more short and argumentative. I toyed with the notion … is it better to have no doctor or a doctor you do not respect or trust? Both my husband and I are leaving after 20 + years with Dr. Mangat. The care I received in the walk-in clinic was superior.

Steer clear of this doctor if you want proper medical care. All the negative reviews are true and the positive ones are likely his friends/family. He just cares about his patient count and billing msp for your appointment. He does not care at all you or your health, just his own paycheck. He is very condescending, rude, and has a god-complex. Very surprised he has not gotten in trouble with the college for negligence. He should be just a walk in clinic doctor as he has zero follow up/seems to be only capable of dealing with small easy things like prescribing pills for birth control or a UTI.

I found Dr. Mangat's manner to be quite offensive. He was dismissive and condescending. His reluctance to reasonably explain or discuss a matter was most unsettling. It always felt like he thought quite highly of himself and you were wasting his time. Had to push to be referred to a specialist or to be sent for tests. Additionally, he did not like to be questioned. It was clear one's concerns or thoughts do not matter to him. I cannot adequately comment on his knowledge because his off-putting manner has clouded my views considerably. Hence the knowledge rating of just okay. Would not recommend as a GP.

Very busy office and I thank the staff for helping. Dr Mangat is awesome and I can't say more about his dedication to me and my families health issues.
