It was over 6 years ago I last had an appointment with Dr Gormley …. As I was leaving Taunton area … What an absolutely lovely person and wonderful doctor….. she had been ‘my’ doctor over a period of many years (and I wish so much that was still the case) until I sadly left the area to
live elsewhere. I hope she is well and happy and would like to send her my forever grateful thanks.

Though not her patient, and not desperately urgent, she made every effort to get hold of me personally by phone to tell me to pick up antibiotics she had prescribed.
(I had to tick 'staff', 'punctuality', and 'knowledge', but these were not-applicable in this case, so I don't know. I don't even know what 'staff' means at all!)

A really excellent doctor, she has helped with my baby and depression so much and has gone above and beyond to make sure mine and the baby's needs are met.

This GP is a softly spoken caring GP, SO approachable, knowlegable in terms of both her medical expert opinion and what her Patients need and therefore how to respond appropriately to those needs. Dr Gormley is also the Senior Partner at French Weir Health Centre in Taunton but juggles this ball well whilst still ensuring that her Patients come first without exception - A good find and genuinely well recommended. Taken from their own website - Dr Hilda K J Gormley MB BCh BAO MRCGP - Dr Hilda Gormley qualified in 1987 from Queen’s University Belfast. She worked in hospital medicine and General Practice in N Ireland and New South Wales (Australia), completing vocational training in Somerset. Dr Gormley joined French Weir Health Centre in 1992 and enjoys all aspects of General Practice. She is married with 4 young children.
