Karla Blackwood is a very nice person, however, she has allowed her Nurse Practitioner in training to over shadow her and call all the shots. She must learn to stand up for herself and not let a nursing student run her practice into the ground.

My family has been with Karla for many years and we all love her. I've even brought my out-of-town family to see her and they loved her as well. It's so rare to find someone who will actually listen to you. She has seen me through quite a few illnesses and surgeries and I always know that I can count on her to do the right thing. I may grumble about additional tests or having to see a specialist but I know that she's suggesting these things because she truly cares about my well being.

She really cares about her patients. She spent the time required to get to know me...my concerns,frustratios and_review my long list of problems I was having. She was warm, caring and gave me a hug when left. You can tell she really loves what she does. I am going to recommend to all my friends and family.

Before I went to see her, I looked for online reviews. All were 5*. I can honestly say this experience with her has been nothing short of unprofessional! Three different times she stated she would call me with test results... 4, 5, 6, 7 days past when she said she would, she didn't. I'm still waiting to hear results from a month ago! I've been seen by her twice. Both times she was 30+ minutes late, when one appointment was time sensitive for testing and I came early at her request! I would AVOID her practice. She was saying how it's just her and Deb, who *occasionally* answers the phone (1 in 10). If she can't give her best to her patients... why take them?

I've gone to Karla Blackwood for more than 10 years. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional. When I was met her she was taking call for my MD. I never thought I'd use an APRN as my primary provider but Karla changed my mind instantly! She has *literally* saved my life several times by truly taking time to listen to me when I was ill when MDs had simply given me their standard "10 minutes, an RX, and out" routine. She is available every day and her hours meet the needs of working people. She really LISTENS to her patients. I've referred several friends to her who also think she's great. She is very thorough and will recommend referrals if I need more than primary care. Plus, her billing is accurate and timely which is more than I can say for most MD offices!

She really cares about her patients and is willing to spend the time she needs to address any issues you have. She never states she can only address 1problem. She explains and answers all your questions. She is warm andccaring to her patients.
