I have been seeing Dr Rooney. I have never been so livid in my entire life. I left a message on prescription refill. Going back and forth with them. Dr. Rooney couldn't care less I was about to miss pills THREE PILLS. Took her sweet time refilling them. Finally, after going back and forth she renews them. I'm late 3 days. Body is all screwed up. I notice AGAIN. I'm not going to have enough pills till my appointment in June. So calling again for a refill and was declined because i was supposed to be there in February! I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT IN JUNE! SO yet again I'm going to be late! Dr. Rooney seems not to care that missing pills wreaks havoc ON MY BODY! So good luck if you see Dr. Rooney IMO she has ZERO concern. I will never recommend this facility.

Went to doctor Rooney for the first time bc my appointment w dr nitz was cancelled who is my regular doctor at Ramsey...never going back to doctor Rooney she was rude and uninformative let alone the wait was over an hour. She didn't explain anything she was doing and asked inappropriate questions was very unprofessional. Worst of all I had asked a simple question of whether or not I could be pregnant she said she had no idea but if I missed my period next month to call the office....like I didn't know that already. Exactly why I see doctor nitz she is the complete opposite of Rooney.

I highly recommend Dr. Rooney. She delivered my baby 2 years ago. There was a high possibility of C-Section, instead she suggested amnioinfusion and avoided C-Section. I trust her knowledge. She is too the point and will answer all your questions, but doest try too hard to sound sweet. But you will get the answer and advice that you are looking for. And thats all I expect from my doctor. If anyone needs too polite and personable doctor, she might not be the best person.

I see Dr. Beloff in Fair Lawn, but unfortunately when I had called the night I went into labor, my office shares on calls with Dr. Rooney's practice and Dr. Rooney was the one on call. When I spoke to her that night before heading to the hospital, she was beyond condescending. This is my first child and I had no idea what to expect, never mind the fact that I was nervous! She basically accused me of lying about my contractions. Thank GOD this was all at 11 pm and at 12 am, she was no longer the doctor on call. Little does she know, I gave birth the following day (she didn't seem to think I even needed to be in the hospital). I have never been so disgusted in my life with the attitude of a doctor. I feel sincerely sorry for any of all of her patients. Dr. Beloff in Fair Lawn (and the entire office) is so respectful of their patients, I would suggest all of Dr. rooney's patients leave and go see this practice. Truly disgusting...

Do NOT go to Dr. Rooney! I had been a patient of hers for many years. Like others I was initially happy. She often gave me the impression that she was in a bad mood. The final straw was when I saw her to switch my birth control. She nervously said she didn't know when we could insert the implant. That should have been a red flag. I was told I'd hear from her office when it was ready. One month later I called and the receptionist told me Dr. Rooney was "waiting for something to be approved". Red flag #2! Two months after that I called and made an appointment with another doctor in her office. The receptionist then told me Dr. Rooney had JUST BEEN CERTIFIED for implant insertion that week! Am I mad I waited that long! Yes! But I'm even more upset that the doctor couldn't be upfront and say she needed to be certified. Maybe she thought I'd run knowing she's not certified? I would have rather heard that then be lied to.

Dr. Rooney delivered my son on Christmas eve, 17 years ago! I was at Valley Hospital to visit someone recently & wondered if she was still around. Looked her up & saw these reviews. I was compelled to write one even though my son is now 17 & healthy, thank God. My doctor in the group was on Christmas vacation when I went into labor and unfortunately, I got Dr. Rooney (whom I was not fond of). My son was breech, but apparently she did not realize it and induced labor on me early in the day. Then she left and was gone until the evening, which I'm sure she was christmas shopping on Rt. 17. She blamed me that she did not get a good feel when she examined me cause I moved too much. When realizing she needed to do emergency c-section, she smacked her head screaming out loud, "I can't believe I missed this! Now I have to find someone at this hr to assist in surgery!" I was so frightened & my husband livid! Need I say more! She was an unprofessional idiot and apparently hasn't changed.

My sister in law had 4 babies, delivered by Dr Rooney. She recommeded Dr Rooney when I moved into town 20+ years ago. I have gone every year since. You need to understand and work with them. I think Dr Rooney is great!

Dr. Rooney is a highly knowledgeable GYN. The number of patients she seems in one day is mind-boggling. Although many of the reviews from others mention "coldness" or other adjectives, my sense is that she is matter of fact - wants to understand the issues and treat you. Dr. Rooney also personally called back with lab results which I truly appreciated. Not everyone can be "touchy feely". Intelligence and telling it like it is are good qualities. The practice should provide additional assistance to the Doctors. They are over-worked!

I had been a patient of Dr Rooney's for several years, and I had a bad yeast infection brought upon by antibiotics taken after an appendectomy. She could not fit me in on two different days, and instead referred me to the ER. The time she spent refusing to see me could have been used to treat me. I was able to get an appt with a different GYN on the same day, and in my two appts with him, I've spent more time talking to him than I did in the several years with Rooney.

She is professional & listens & answered all my questions. The practice used to be understaffed but that has improved immensely. Can get appts quickly & the nurse Amanda that calls back is very helpful. I recommend dr Rooney. She is not the kind Of dr that calls you honey or sweetie so she is not a touchy-feely person, but I found her k owledgeable & professional. I recommend her!
