I LIKE that he is self assured, because I tend to require more information to justify medical care than average. He doesn't mind when I tell him I think he is wrong, and we look at the reasoning together. He will happily back up anything he says with the studies/sources he remembers off the top of his head, and find them if he doesn't. He respects that I wanted a low intervention pregnancy and birth and was willing to work with me to make sure my baby and I are both safe and feeling comfortable. He explains the reasons for his recommendations, and doesn't make me feel bad if I don't take his advice, but is honest with me about the risks. When I had a compressed nerve in my neck he actually did a physical assessment, not just lab tests, to determine the issue. THEN we backed his diagnosis up with the tests. I am feeling better than ever. Seriously, he knows his stuff. If you are looking for a doctor to pander to you, he is not the guy. But he WILL tell you the truth and he can easily back up his assessments with obvious training and experience. When he reaches an area he isn't comfortable in he is able to refer you to great specialists without issue. Exactly what I want in a family doctor, and I hope to keep him for a long time!

Best doctor I've ever seen. My whole family now sees him, even my 80 year old gramma who doesn't speak any english and is afraid of doctors loved him. Knows his stuff and very knowledgable. Super kind and caring and absolutely hilarious.

One of my favorite doctors. I am not an easy patient and always go in educated. I see a doctor's role as being able to effectively have a conversation about diagnoses with me, since I am not going to be in the doctor's office without already thinking something needs attention. He is able to set aside his pride and present his position effectively. He even provides proof when asked. As well, he is able to admit when he does NOT know something, which is an invaluable trait in a professional. I can see how his bedside manner would be overbearing for some, but for me he is an invaluable resource.

This doctor does not take the time to properly assess patients. Relies too much on lab work to guide his care. I had to make a trip to the emergency after his request and when I saw him 3 days later, he never even asked me how it all turn out in ER :( I had/have gastro issues, but this doctor didn't even do any assessment unit he got lab work results back which with the long waits for appointments at labs, was more then 3 weeks later! Looking for a new doc!!

The best doctor I ever had. Helped me with my weight loss and has always been honest. Gone out of his way when I had difficulties. Always makes me laugh genuinely cares. I would reccomend anyone to him. I am a nurse and he is knowledgeable and a fantastic GP.

TERRIBLE bedside manor. Dr. Alawiye was incredibly condescending and insensitive when I saw him recently. For example: I expressed my concern about light-headedness and it's possible correlation to low blood pressure... he said "yes, that could be low blood pressure and there's nothing you can do about it, get up slowly".... THANKS!!! maybe you would TAKE my blood pressure at this point? He belittled me and made me feel stupid about all of my pregnancy questions, and went as far as undermining my regular doctor's orders. I would not recommend this doctor, and I will be lodging further complaints to the office and my regular GP.

He's a wonderful doctor and he helped me understand my problem even though i had already googled my condition and I had thought it was something else until he had examined me.
