He is an excellent doctor that is handling a difficult (cancer) situation with my mother. A couple options were presented and the best was chosen. He was kind and and very helpful in discussing and answering questions. We were able to choose the best way to proceed. Highly recommend and if I have a problem I hope he is taking patients.

Horrible experience he will not let you explain your issues he will tell you that you have to much acid in your stomach and thats why I have acid reflux i try to explain to him the I been on nexium for 25 years and he said thats ok we need to take 60mlg now because 40mlg is not enough

Dr. Akbar was kind and helpful before and during my colonoscopy and my EGD. I was nervous to have the procedures done, but I found Dr. Akbar to be reassuring and helpful. Everything went well and I am so glad Dr. Akbar was my doctor for this.

Love that he has some medical students on staff and that he is willing to teach as well. These students were on the ball, knew every answer, and were very pleasant to speak with. Doctor was very personable and easy to make a connection with on medical issues.
