I am a newer patient to Dr. Soltis, but i have had 4 very unproductive appointments with him now so I feel confident in my ratings. I am a young adult with a complicated health history. The reason why I came to Dr. Soltis is my Crohn's. I've never really serious GI flare ups, but theyve always been there. My first appt was 10 min long. Strange for a consult, especially with a complicated background. 2nd appt was only 5 minutes long, 3rd appointment was again 5 min long and none of my questions were answered. My last appt was only about 5 min long again which frustrated me so much since he did not answer any of my questions, and I am currently having the worst flare up that I have ever experienced. No guidance about what I should be doing as a patient, "Just keep taking your medication" is all he said even though none of my symptoms improved while taking it. He was very patronizing and rude during this appt. I was so frustrated that I cried. I will be finding a new GI doctor.

I saw Dr. Soltis because my previous gastroenterologist have moved to a different practice. I was being treated for Unspecified Ulcerative Colitis. At the first visit he switched me off of a medication that had been working for me for three years to a much more expensive (ie $600/month) medication. A couple of months later I flared and when I went to see him he said I looked good and to schedule a follow up in 6 months. I knew I was sick so I found my old gastroenterologist who helped me. However, due to Dr. Soltis I was sick for four months longer than I needed to be. I've heard from many patients like myself that he's a fine gastroenterologist if you're generally healthy, but if you get sick he's unhelpful. I would not recommend him to someone I care about. He was pleasant in clinic but did not spend enough time with me, and did not seem interested in helping me.

Dr Soltis was very pleasant and helpful. He clearly knew what was wrong with me. I felt very comfortable with him. I am glad my doctor referred me to him. He was not in a hurry and he answered all my questions and listened to my concerns. I beleive he is an excellent doctor.

This doctor is rude, abrupt and unwilling to answer questions. He spends a maximum of 10 minutes with patients. One appointment was 5 minutes. He refers all of their questions to his nurses who are unfortunately unable to do this. He is knowledgeable.

Dr. Soltis is extremely unhelpful. My average appointment with him lasted for about 10 minutes at the most. I am still very sick, and after waiting for 2 months to see him, he decided to take a last minute vacation and now I have to wait another 6 weeks. For the amount of money that this guy costs, one would think that he would spend a little more time caring about the health of his patients. He doesn't even ask me about my symptoms, he just goes on the chart from the doctor who initially referred me. Don't waste your time!
