My husband was seen by Dr. Oleander once a week for a year and a half for severe depression. He prescribed various medications. There was no change in his severe symptoms during his treatment at all. A year ago, I took my husband to a different doctor, who titrated him off all of Dr. Olander’s medications and replaced them with a new set of meds. Within one month my husband had turned a corner and begun to recover. Within two months he had begun socializing. At three months he was pretty much fully recovered. He is now fully engaged in life and being weaned off all his medications.
In short, I regret not leaving Dr. Olander much much sooner. Dr. Olander seemed much more interested in discussing his left wing politics than in patient care.
