I fractured my right wrist on a Friday evening. I was so extremely lucky to have Dr. Nenna on call. He diagnosed my problem, immediately and scheduled surgery for the next day to fix the fracture with internal fixations device, ie pins and screws, and hardware. My surgical follow up has been excellent. His nurse and staff are great, punctual and nice. Dr Nenna has provided excellent post op care, answers all my questions and gives great advice regarding expectations healing, exercise etc. He is a highly trained hand surgeon. In fact, he operated on my mother about 15 years ago when no one else would, and improved her hand function so much so, that she could play the violin again.

I suffered a very serious injury to my left wrist late in the afternoon of Saturday, October 21, 2017. The E.R. staff at Hunterdon Medical Center gave me outstanding care and set up my appointment with Dr. Nenna for Monday, October 23, 2017. Dr. Nenna and his Nurse Roberta gave me immediate physical and emotional relief, answered every question with exceptional compassion and clarity. My surgery was done on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Same Day Surgery at Hunterdon Center for Surgery next to MIDJERSEY ORTHOPAEDICS in Flemington, NJ. Everyone from reception through my entire operation to my post-operative stage was perfect administratively, clinically, educationally, and emotionally. During my career I was part of teams at two outstanding medical centers that worked with all clinical departments including medical and surgical specialists to achieve the highest rating awarded by what I still believe is the premier, most recognized across the country accreditation entity. I know from my experience when I am in the hands of the best. I know the standards, and I know when those caring for me have gone so far above and beyond those standards to provide care that no one who received it should ever for one second for the rest of their life stop being grateful, awed, humbled, and ecstatic to be alive and functioning in this world. That's the care I have received from the day of my injury forward. Because of Dr. Nenna, his Nurse Roberta, every clinical and non-clinical professional at Same Day Surgery, and the Emergency Room at Hunterdon Medical Center, I was saved from a life of permanent pain, deformity, dysfunction, and despair. I believe with all the expertise I acquired in a career that included being instrumental in helping two major medical centers achieve the highest distinction that a hospital can receive in the United States, that there isn't any higher level of care I could have received on the planet than Dr. Nenna's, his Nurse Roberta's, everyone at the Hunterdon Medical Center Emergency Room, and everyone at Same Day Surgery at Hunterdon Center for Surgery, and everyone at MIDJERSEY ORTHOPAEDICS here in Flemington, New Jersey. Two final notes as we approach Thanksgiving and a religious season for many faiths. First: Redemption (salvation after life) . . .One's spiritual view or lack thereof on this is a private matter of the soul. But. . .
Dr. Nenna, his Nurse Roberta, and everyone from the second I walked into the E.R. on 10-21-17 redeemed (saved me) from what could have been a permanent earthly nightmare. So, tell me, whose help to me will ever be higher than Dr. Nenna's, his Nurse Roberta's, and everyone on the Hunterdon Medical Center Campus in Flemington, New Jersey from October 21, 2017 to this moment in time? Finally: Immortality. Again, the spiritual side of this is between one and one's soul. But those who are never forgotten for the incredible good of saving a patient from permanent pain, deformity, dysfunction, and despair are immortal already. Because you are never ever forgotten for what you have saved me from. Even after I am gone my children will tell my grandchildren who will tell my great grandchildren and on and on forever about Dr. Nenna, his Nurse Roberta, and everyone on the Hunterdon Medical Center Campus in Flemington, New Jersey beginning on October 21, 2017 when I (Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa--Whatever I may be known as long after I'm gone) came into the E.R. with a pretty much pulverized left wrist. Thank Heaven for Dr. Nenna, his Nurse Roberta, everyone at Hunterdon Medical Center, and Same Day Surgery. You are all my redeemers, and you are all with my deepest gratitude, respect, and humility, immortal to me and my family. Thank you, happy Thanksgiving. Sincerely, David Joseph Calandro

A long time doctor of my choice because he EXCELS now as he did 25 years back when I last needed his assistance.

After several years of having pain and numbness in my wrist, and not getting any assistance from my GP, I was referred to Dr. Nenna. Diagnosis was Carpel Tunnel. Dr. Nenna worked with me for a temporary solution until my schedule allowed for surgery. Dr. Nenna explained the procedure, scheduled the procedure for a time that fit my schedule. The procedure went very smoothly. A great job by the surgical team at the Surgery Center. My pain and numbness has been relieved. I was very happy with every aspect of dealing the Mid-Jersy Ortopaedic and the Surgery Center.

Not sure of the negative reviews. Dr Nenna saw my 4 yr old in ER and later in the office. He is great, took time to answer our questions , was patient, and made my son laugh. Staff was amazing and made my son feel comfortable after he broke his arm. I would see him again if we ever need to.

Terrible 'Doctor'.... I came to Dr. Nenna after resting my wrist for almost a year due to terrible pain with anything weight bearing. He advised that he agreed with my prior doctors diagnosis of tendonitis and told me to rest it basically while walking out of the room. I literally had to call him back in to remind him that I have already been resting it for almost a year! He again stated that rest is the only thing to help it. Well.... I finally saw a REAL doctor who deserves this title, and found out that I have ulna variance and a complete tear of my TFCC. I told "Dr" Nenna that conservative therapies were not working for a year and that clearly there was something else wrong, but for whatever reason, he failed to even care or try to find out what the problem was. My doctor now was told the same thing and took the extra care to step outside the box and figure out the real problem. Stay away from this guy, he lacks knowledge, care, and concern for his patients.
Furthermore, when meeting with the nurse before seeing the doctor, I asked if he could just take a look at my shoulder because I was having some pain. She told me I would have to make another appointment because I scheduled for my wrist only. Makes no sense... I am in the same room as a doctor who I am paying for an office visit and they can't even take three seconds to do a simple exam on my shoulder because I 'didn't mention it when making my appointment'.... Clearly some people only become doctors for financial reasons... Dr. Nenna and Mid Jersey Orthopedics are the clear example of that.

I feel the need to warn everyone to do everything in their power to avoid this doctor. Horrible, horrible experience, dishonest doctor. My son broke his wrist and almost 2 years later I am dealing with the aftermath of a dishonest practice trying to bill my insurance for things that never happened and double dipping . Beware!
