We saw Dr. Van Der Merwe in emergency, and we were extremely impressed! My husband went into the ER with a suspected DVT and Dr. Van Der Merwe saw us immediately. He took us very seriously, and immediately ordered an ultrasound which confirmed our fears. He started my husband on medication and phoned our family doctor. We feel very fortunate to have seen him as he was knowledgeable, compassionate, and thorough.

Easily one of the most arrogant doctors I have ever come across. He does not listen to the patient, nor does he care. He acts like he's better than you and like you're wasting his time. No caring what so ever.

People like him should not be doctors. I went to him explaining that I had been bleeding for months. He tried to offer me some birth control pills which I told him I could not take because of the bad side effects I had in the past. He then told me that" the bleeding will probably stop on its own and that it's not as if I will bleed to death." I did end up getting sick. What he said was wrong on so many levels. Who speaks to people like that - so unprofessional !!

Maybe I caught him on a bad day..but what terrible service! He made me feel like a nuisance. He spoke to me like I was a dummy and didn't help with my medical problems at all, apart from trying to hand me pills. First and last time I will see this doctor.

I'm from Regina and was at my cabin in Waskesiu, I had a very bad ingrown toe nail. This doctor took me in right away and removed it for me. He was very kind and gentle! I would recommend this doctor anytime and will be seeing him again if needed in the summers to come.

Was a good doc and when unsure what was going on with my symptoms got me a specialist very quickly :)), great doc and very friendly and nice to talk to.
