I took a fall on July 25/22. and injured my nose. I didn’t have an appointment but I stopped by Dr. Torres’ office anyway. He had a quick look at me and sent me for an x-ray the same day. He followed up by calling me at home a couple of days later to let me know I had fractured my nose bone. He told me he was referring me to an ENT. I saw the ENT on Aug. 9/22. The ENT said he was very impressed that Dr. Torres acted so quickly in my case because too often he sees patients with considerable lag time between the time of the appointment and the injury, so long after the injury when patients start to have trouble.

Dr. Torres took excellent care of me. He is always courteous and professional. When he has been concerned about other members of my family, he has taken the time to call us at home at nights and even on weekends to check on the status of our health and to make arrangements for prescriptions with our pharmacy. We are so grateful he is our doctor. We highly recommend him.

Everytime i call no one answers sometimes they dont even call back. I have had referrals go missing or not sent, prescriptions not filled even when pharmacy contacts his office. You can ever reach anyone to speak with them always voice mail. And his address changes so much its hard to know where to go for apts especially when not notifed they moved again. If you have major issues report to the college of physicians and doctors.
I do find Bart amazing as well as the other staff it's not so much their knowledge or bed side manner as the unorganized admin side of the office. Unfortunately during these times finding a new doctor is impossible so office's can get away with this.

My experience has been nothing but second rate healthcare from Dr. Torres' office. The receptionist is a histrionic incompetent! There was no prescreening of my visit or even a friendly reminder to bring a mask to my appointment. Upon arriving at the home clinic on highway 2 near Maitland. I entered the office and was immediately set upon by the receptionist, sitting approximately 12 feet away at her desk behind a dirty plastic barrier. I was told to leave and come back with a mask on. I said I did not have a mask, but if they had one I would put it on. She said no! The other staff most likely the nurse said she would get me a mask. The receptionist told me to wait outside in the rain and a mask would be brought out to me. Not one to be treated like a third world patient, I became adversarial, and left the office. The nurse came outside waving the mask she had for me. I waved back and got in my car never to return. This same office was responsible for my trip of a lifetime having to be cancelled due to paperwork. I tried calling the CPSO to file a complaint but they are experiencing higher than normal call volume!

My partner is a patient of his. Partner almost lost their new job because Torres has never bothered to respond to my partners multiple calls and voice mails requesting the required medical documents for employment. Its been weeks and we've still had no response, I believe he's possibly just given up on his practice at this point. We're lucky that the employer was sympathetic with my partners situation and has helped out with getting these medical records no thanks to Torres. Torres does not care for his patients let alone respect their time, well being and health.

Also when you do manage to get a phone appointment with him you will be left waiting at least a few hours to a few days for him to actually call. Whatever you do, do not take Torres on as a new doctor, he is negligent and incompetent. If he's not out of the job right now I suspect he will be soon.

For those that have had issues with this physician and want to do something about it, rating him on this platform will get nowhere. You need to file a complaint with the regulating agency and that is the CPSO - College of Surgeons and Physicians of Ontario. Go to this website and file your complaints, they will review and perhaps do something about the lack of access and care that you have been receiving. I have been hearing more and more about this physician and in order to get things "fixed" complaints need to be brought to them at CPSO. Please remember that the admin and nursing staff can only work with physician direction so they are not to blame, it is the physician that is responsible for his office and if he is not there they cannot do their jobs properly, the staff is doing the best they can under the circumstances of an absent or distracted physician to provide them with the answers they need to provide to patients.

Worst doctor I have ever had in 33 years of existence. Staff rarely returns call, extremely unorganised. Had to call numerous times for prescription to be sent to Pharmacy, which was then sent with missing information. Does not follow up on patients. Requested to see surgeon two months ago and still no call back. Had to un-register from his list of patients. Avoid at all costs.

This doctor and his staff are dangerously negligent, and incompetent, they do little if any follow up, and they seem incapable of booking tests, and referrals in a s timely efficient manner

The only doctor that figured out my skin condition and provided the correct medication to treat it. He goes out of his way to get prescriptions sent to my pharmacy—even on weekends, which is an incredible stress reliever. I couldn't ask for a greater, more professional doctor than Dr. Torres.

Dr. Torres said I had luekemia, scared me to death. Well, ghat office couldn't call in q bloodiest home visit properly and I didn't get blood work done fir 3 months. Staff are not helpful. I left a detailed message and they called, left a message saying they assumed I wanted an appointment. They never even listened to the message. Then I asked for the cancer doc to be in Ottawa. I literally called back right away and Said please make the oncologist appointment for Kingdton. Months later, gave me an Ottawa appointment. I tell them I wasn't going to Ottawa, I want Kingston. Then I get another call from an Ottawa doctor. I call Torres again. Then the nurse practitioner tells me.... he doesn't think I have leukemia. What the #uck? What?! So between the office staff and the cluster #uckmof mistakes om their part, I eoukdnt send my dog to this office.

Not a reliable doctor. Refuses to prescribe certain medications. He sends you off to get tests done and refers to specialists but when you ask him to add a certain medication he may refuse. Too much talking and nit enough doing.
