Saved my brother in law's life!! Dr. Nwagwu was called in on an emergency basis after the discovery of a life threatening cyst in his midbrain. Performed surgery in the middle of the night. Recovery was complete. Incredible work!!!

My 32-year-old son had a seizure and was taken to Mission Hospital, CT Scan showed a mass, MRI showed a 3.8 cm tumor. Dr. Nwagwu was called to be his neurosurgeon. On November 16th, surgery was done on the right parietal lobe, 35 staples and my son is two-and-a-half weeks out and has minimal deficit, which will subside. He is so confident when he speaks with you, there is no arrogance about him, and I instantly knew he had this handled. He is an amazing, amazing neurosurgeon and I would highly recommend him. My son may be why the rating below got postponed. I watched Mission Hospital that Friday night take on brain trauma after brain trauma while we were in the SICU, and he was the doctor on-call. Basically, he saved my son's life and if you spoke to him today, you would never know he had surgery (except for the shaved head and incision, but I can guarantee in one week, hair will be covering that and you won't know. There is no price you can put on a life. This doctor is a straight-up professional, the elite in his field!!!

Was told by Specialist I needed to see neurosurgeon stat. Made appt 10 days out and day before appt. this Dr cancels and wants to reschedule me out 30 more days later. No thank you-if this is your level of care/concern for my well being, I'll take my chances elsewhere. As others have stated, the irrelevant forms as well as strong-arm payment tactics prior to arrival are also a bit suspect and telling of the focus of this Dr...it's all about the mighty dollar - not a passion for the patient. Keep looking - I know I am.

~ I found Dr. Nwagwu to be very intelligent, highly professional calm and caring. This physician has such tremendous mannerisms, is professional and kind. My husband has an aneurysm near his brain region. I had a wonderful office visit with him. He is very personable and thorough. My surgery was scheduled within two weeks and I went home the next day. He is an AMAZING doctor! Thank you Dr. Nwagwu!
