I had one appointment with Dr. Khajavi in the late 80s when I was a teenager. His level of sexual inappropriateness prompted me to report him to the board of registration of medicine.

I have been treated by Dr Khatami for 2 years, because of his care my life has improved in every area. I was plagued by depression, anxiety, nightmares, and migraines for many years. Other Drs seemed to have failed to truly hear my suffering or have any hope or confidence in how well I could be. This Drs knowledge, experience and caring manner has truly turned my life around. I'm now able to work after years of debilitating symptoms and the quality of my life has improved in all areas. If you want to be in partnership with a dr who will treat you professionally, with expertise, and be willing to stick with you to fin the right medications then I highly recommend Dr Khajavi. He has been more helpful to my progress than numerous Drs ever where in over 15 yrs.

This man has been of no help to me at all. Uncaring, offensive and outdated. One time I went to his office complaining I was feeling horrible with the side effects of Seroquel (prescribed to help me sleep), and he simply said I looked good. Eventually I overcame my depression on my own, but he never helped me in the process. He kept writing on a notebook while I talked to him, never making eye contact or showing any sign of paying attention to what I was saying. And finished every session saying "keep me posted". What a looser.

Horrible, horrible experience. Asked too many intensely personal questions that had nothing to do with the purpose of my visit. Then spent most of the visit trying to sell me his self-made relaxation CD. It's a recording of his voice. He told me "it will be an investment in the rest of your life." This guy is nothing but a salesman, and I felt slimy by the time I left his office.

Women beware. I can't rate him low enough.

I recommend Dr. Khajavi, I feel fortunate to have found him- his expertise and caring manner has changed my life. I have been to doctors for years and have never had any success with finding a Dr. who would really listen and work with me to find the right medication to help my depression and anxiety. From the first time I met him, I felt comfortable talking with him, he was the most thorough dcotor taking my history (which is so important and seldom to drs take the time to do this), he showed compassion and spent time getting to understand my challenges. The care and expertise that Dr. Khajavi has given me has given me new hope in my life and relief of symptoms that I have never had in 10+ yrs of looking for help with these issues. I am confident in his expertise and would recommend him to any friend or family member in need of psychiatric care.

Tried 3 others who I did not connect with, finally found Dr. Khajavi and have been going for 2 yrs. Very caring and professional. I credit his non judgmental approach to finally ridding me of a deep, dark depression. I was shocked to read reviews that mentioned him questioning sexual aspects of people's lives: he asked about my sexuality with as much professionalism and respect as he asked about my family history, medications or childhood memories. As sexuality can be a source of trouble for many, I am relieved to see his candor in approaching the subject as opposed to other MDs I've been to who just sweep it under the rug. I think it's unfortunate both doctors and patients can be so touchy with something this crucial to one's mental health. He was also very thorough in assessing me before dispensing medication, and eager to discuss different treatment options as well as different medications. Has a great balance of medication and counseling, and never rushes. Highly recommended.

This doctor is completely unprofessional. I would advise any woman with a conscience to avoid seeing him. His questions mostly were sexually related i.e. sexual pleasure, gratification, frequency. I gave him a low rating because he was not interested in helping me psychiatrically. However, he was interested in me sexually. This guy had no class or nothing. This was one of the worst experiences of my life. I am going to report him to the proper authorities tomorrow, as this incident transpired today.
