I had five surgeries in Grande Prairie and every time I got infection after the surgery. In 2006 I had a back problem. I was going out with a girl who was working in the hospital and she advised me to see him. I saw him few months latter. I told him about my infection after surgery. He did few test and told me I do not have any Immune system problem. After the surgery, I did very well. I did not get infection. What was different he actually himself changed my dressing in hospital and he washed his hand before and after. I had a second surgery by him in 2010 and did very well. Same he changed my dressing and washed his hand. In 2012, I had a minor surgery by other surgeon and I got infection after that. I had recommended him to all my friends and several of them had seen him and some had surgery. All of them were very happy. My ex-girlfriend told me that he is a good surgeon and he is very restrict. He wanted everyone to wear a mask during surgery and nurses to wash their hands before and after changing dressing. I am really saddened with what happened to him. I am glad I am moved out of Grande Prairie because I do not trust any health care provider their. My ex-girlfriend told me a lot of scary stories about that hospital.

MRI showed severe spinal stenosis. He said not bad enough for surgery. A year later and a second opinion with another doctor looking at the same MRI results and been told surgery should have been done a year ago. He no longer has privledges at the hospital here.

I would like to say that I was very pleased with Dr. Algamdi as a surgeon. He did an amazing job with me and followed up with me for a few years after my accident. He went out of his way to help and gave me many different options. He sent me to see specialists and when they didn't agree with his opinion, we tried something else. I can honestly say, I would have no foot, knee or leg without him. He may be to the point and doesn't sugar coat things, but when it comes to the sake of my walking again, I really appreciated everything he did

This doc is a farce.bedside manner ZILCH.I am in need of surgery on a ligament in my wrist my hand is virtually unusable and has been since the beginning of 2012.my finances are exhausted he was aware that i work in alberta not living here the cost to come see this doc? well lets say its crazy and then after following his instruction for 2 months he refused my surgery.telling me to try physio after initially telling me NOT TO USE MY HAND whatsoever. Physio could take months surgery is day surgery and healing time 6 weeks . i am now homeless and no money coming in and to start this process with another doctor will take more time , is this what we do in canada ? Create homeless people that are willing to work? i am so upset and the distress this has caused me is beyond what any 50 yr old woman should go through. depression , anxiety , financial distress. TY DR. Al ghambi for giving me hope then stealing it away.

I visited this doctor to get a cortisone shot for my torn rotator cuff. He had administered one 3 months previously and the recommended interval between shots is 3 months. I sacrificed a half-day sub teaching ($113), $4 parking and gasoline, wear and tear for the vehicle - hence the estimated $125 cost. My appointment was at 8:50 am, but I was never seen until 10:20. My parking had just run out, so I was hoping and praying I wouldn't get a ticket (luckily, I did not.) The doctor then judged my pain insufficient and refused to give me the shot. I asked him how I could know whether or not he'd give me the shot, and he said there is no way of knowing - I just have to be willing to make the sacrifice of time and money and he may say yes, he may say no. Well, sorry, but this kind of financial hardship is not something I can endure on a repeated basis - bottom line. He seemed quite unconcerned about my dilemma. So I'll have to find a doctor willing to see me after work hours.

Very late for appointments.(2 hrs)EXTEMELY POOR bedside manners.Does not answer questions. Rude. Condescending. Not at all gentle when giving a needle. Does not wait for freezing to take effect before before "slashing you open." Makes you feel like crap. Wish you had never met him.

I was very pleasantly surprised to meet this charming surgeon with the beautiful smile who greeted me recently for a consultation re. rotator cuff surgery. I was determined to be open-minded, but I had heard and seen negative reviews for sure. He was insistent on my listening to him first which, as it turns out, was the way to go, because, as he said, many of my questions were answered in the course of what he had to say. He completely gave me my turn thereafter to voice any questions and concerns I had. I teach school kids the exact same way. I was so relieved to find out that I don't need rotator cuff surgery after all - at least not yet - and instead, he gave me my first ever cortisone shot. It's too early yet to tell if it has helped or not. He patiently showed me the pictures from my MRI and explained what I was seeing. I honestly can not complain at all about this gentleman and I very much appreciate the time he took to consult with me.
