I had a serious adverse reaction to medication prescribed by Dr Briscoe last January. She refused to see me nor acknowledge what was happening as I became progressively more disabled and she must have instructed her staff to give me the proverbial tap on the head and tell me “this is all normal!” As I nearly died under her care. A year later, I’m still heavily disabled, don’t have much ability to use my dominant arm, and I’m still seeking help from other neurologists to try to reverse this damage. Still looking into filing formal complaints for malpractice through QCH.

She has seen me in person every time. This is appreciated because her
in-person judgement has been accurate for me every time.

I went with my husband to review tests results from a seizure he experienced. We first met her office assistant, what a lovely woman. She chatted in such a casual comfortable manner. Dr. Briscoe could not have been more attentive to my husbands questions etc. She was very thorough and even made a referral for something non related to our visit. She put together a follow up plan that will ensure my husbands needs are met. Thank you

Dr. Briscoe has the unfortunate job of having to tell people bad news, at times, related to neurological disorders. But she is very very thorough and while pragmatic is not without compassion.

She is extremely adept at her job and makes sure she validates everything she diagnoses.

I trust her implicitly, and am grateful for her expertise.

If you are able to have her as your doctor, you are very lucky.

Dr. Briscoe is absolutely brutal, she bullied me and berated me for saying my medication isn’t working and the add on medication aren’t either, she literally went berserk while I was trying to discuss which medication is best suited for me. She told me she’s going to keep me on my current medications that isn’t working or put me on a medication that will and I quote “ I’ll put on another medication that will put you in seizure fit where you’ll fall down and burst your scull and brain open where you’ll die with an incubator in your body in a hospital forever” . I was terrified of the graphic cruelty that she spewed out. I’ll find a new doctor who’s in it to improve people’s lives not make them worse. She’s hysterical, unprofessional and refuses to listen to any concerns of the patient. She’s so cruel it’s sickening.if she doesn’t know what to do then simply say so instead of blaming the patient for the ineffective medications that she’s prescribing, she’s terrible.

Went in with TIA like symptoms. Was complicated migraine. She took me off all birth control (I have a bleeding disorder) and medications for my heart, ADHD and antidepressants, none of which were the cause. Laughed at me when I said that I wanted to close the hole in my heart. Sent me into a spiral of depression and suicidal thoughts for 6 months. Would never see her again.

Not impressed with Dr. Briscoe. She listens OK but diagnosed me with a damaged mandible jaw nerve that has been making sick for over two years. And then she said if there was any surgery required it would be up to my ENT to do it. I felt like I was pawned off onto another doctor as my ENT says he wont consider surgery. Still sick and weak going see a new neurologist and ENT now.
