This is the first time that I feel that I've been truly 'seen' by a doctor. He listened to my concerns, and actually remembered details from a previous appointment without staring at a chart. Very friendly, caring and calm manner. Easy to talk to about your concerns. The North is very lucky to have him!

Best Dr. iv seen in Yellowknife in my whole life. I highly recommend him if you are lucky enough to become one of his patients. Extremely nice, calm, and caring. Very knowledgeable. He makes you feel very comfortable.

Misdiagnosed my child twice, said he never had pneumonia. He definetly did,.... first time he almost died. Would not recommend for dealing with kids.

Emergency room physician that is very good at what he does, thoughtful, listens and makes sure that he understands your concerns. Also a very personal and friendly individual.

Dr. Pontin is an emergency room physician. He is amazing. Calm, knowledgeable and patient, he took great care of my son. Even though he was the only doc in a busy emergency room, I felt like we had his full attention and I expect all the other patients did too. If you are unlucky enough to need an emergency room, hope you are lucky enough to be there when he is on duty!
