I went to her concerned about a family history of ovarian cancer (my grandmother at age 45 and mother at age 43) and i have had a different type of cancer in my lifetime and am 38. Even though her ultrasound tech could not find one of my ovaries she sent me home saying, “Lots of women are afraid of this, you will be fine.” Then she mumbled, “except without a history of cancer.” The chemo i had is known to cause other cancers! She made no attempt to contact other experts or even advise me to see anyone who might have a long term center survivor specialty. Just “I’m sure it will be fine, don’t worry about it.” I really wanted to like her, i like her personality and bedside manner. I was so disappointed that she brushed me off. Just be warned that she is not likely to be good if you are looking for medical help outside of having a baby.

I had a great experience with Dr. Promfret. My appointment was on time. I could immediately tell she was very knowledgeable and thorough, while also being warm and personable. I really liked her!

Dr Pomfret is fantastic. I recommend her to anyone. Not only is she extremely good at her job, she has the best bedside manner I have experienced. She is so thoughtful and caring. She took time to answer all of my questions when I was admitted to the ER and hospitalized. She came in on her day off to discharge me personally when she didn't have to. The best overall care I have ever received.

I strongly do not recommend Heidi Pomfret for her OB/GYN services. She is, at best, a run-of-the-mill physician who focuses on the specific procedure at the current time, and not on the patient as a whole person with a detailed history. Essentially, instead of building off of detailed medical records sent to her by multiple physicians, she reinvents the wheel and she ignores previous physicians' records. She negates her patients' concerns by ignoring specific requests made by educated patients who know better.
