Dr. Theisz was very friendly and helpful. He wasn't rushed at all, answered any and all questions I had, and was great in every way. He makes you very comfortable. The support staff was also friendly, helpful and efficient. Glad I found a good doctor, absolutely recommend him to someone looking for a primary care physician.

DR Theisz literally saved my life. After having bad experiences with other doctors, I came to DR. Theisz. Now, after 3 years, under his guidance, my blood pressure is under control (from 220/120), I have lost 40 lbs and he found what I thought was a pimple--was actually level 2 Melanoma. He sent me to a surgeon and I have been cancer free for 3 yrs. Dr. Theisz always has a smile on his face and he LISTENS to his patients. He always gives you the tools you need to get better. It's up to you to take advantage of his experience, knowledge and advice. His staff are also very friendly and helpful--especially Suzanne.

Gordon Theisz became my doctor when I *really was* going to die, in the middle of a pulmonary embolism episode I had mistaken for a minor cardiac problem. He was calm, firm, and arranged my emergency care with the utmost professionalism. The hospital told me he saved my life, and I know it's true. He has provided me, my family, and all of the friends I have sent to him superb care over the past 4+ years. Straightforward, modest, and - bonus - CHEERFUL! He listens closely to every concern and has never failed to follow up. He is also very sensitive to financial issues. His office staff is friendly. If he is running behind, I know it's because he's giving another patient the same attentive care he always gives me. When the office moved, it added thirty minutes to our drive time to reach him - and we are happy to do it in order to keep him as our doctor. Also - he has children of his own, does scouting and sponsors kiddie ball teams - definitely the kind of doc I'd want for my kids.

he was scary, over dramatic, in a 5 min. consultation he told me I was going to die. he was 30 minutes late. He seemed like he was in a rush to get rid of me.

Went in for just a basic checkup, and he was wonderfully thorough. Took lots of time with my questions and concerns. Intern/doctor-in-training not very good (at taking history or drawing blood), but I suppose that's what he's there for! To learn from Dr. Theisz! Test results came back promptly. Easy to get an appointment. Later (after-work) hours on Wednesdays.

Dr. Theisz has a wonderful bedside manner! He is very knowledgable and explains everything as he talks. The best thing is that he is able to treat our entire family, even the little ones. I love the philosophy of family practice as family members are so inter-related and this has a lot to do with health (e.g. catching a cold from my baby). I must add that he is very respectful to parents. Dr. Theisz is very intelligent and has a lot of experience, yet is still up to date on current information. I cannot recommend him highly enough! Suzanne in the front office is a total sweetheart. They try to leave their schedule somewhat open for same day appointments and are concerned with prompt service, which is rare, but extremely appreciated!

Outstanding. I had a stomach issue that was baffling many doctors and went to him simply for his opinion. He diagnosed the problem promptly and sent me straight to the hospital. Very knowledgable and incredible bed side manner! I will follow him to his new practice.

Dr. Theisz is an amazing listener. He is attentive and really cares about what you have to say. He then explains why he prescribes the treatments or medications he has chosen. He creates good rapport through talking about local goings-on, and his office staff is just as competent and friendly as he.

Dr. Theisz is so good, my family followed him to his new practice in Falls Church from his old group closer to our home. He is always kind, thoughtful, and progressive in his treatment. If something is beyond his expertise, he will say so, and find you the proper referral (surgeon or specialist). While hospitalized, I saw him interacting with an elderly patient who was very difficult to understand (not an English-speaker) and he was just as gentle and patient with her as he is with us. He is sensitive to cost issues for uninsured patients, poor families, and people without drug coverage. In addition to his excellent personal manner, he's also extremely professional. He is attentive to detail and never fails to follow through. I have had a lot of family practice docs in my life, and Theisz is one of my top two.
