He is simple in approach. Expert in examination. Serves sincerely and a professional with out exploiting patients. Kudos. He has helped me recover from frozen shoulder and signs off quickly when he finds recovery signs.

Dr Garude performed a knee ACL surgery on my left knee two years ago at his Chembur location. At that time, I was impressed to see his education and long experience with arthroscopy (Shoulder and knee). My surgery went very well according to him and I would be back to normal soon in his opinion.
Although pain in common in the rehab, three months later, the physio told that my legs were not as strong as they should be and had questions about the surgery's success. I did not heed her at the time( she was a physio after all) and continued with the therapy after getting the reassured again by Dr.Garude. Internally, it was still uncomfortable with creeking knees and a fair difficulty while bending it six months later as well. Although this is tolerable please do not assume it to normal.
A year ago, I visited another doctor to know his opinion and just out of the check up, he was surprised to learn that i already had surgery. Two more orthopedics (one of which was in arthroscopy as well) had negative opinions and confirmed the same after I got another MRI.

The most clear issues are:-
1. The holes drilled by the doctor are wildly big (2-3 times normal) and this might require another surgery by itself to resolve
2. the muscle used is unusual and has generally been a second guess to a stronger muscle. The use of this muscle has complicated the recovery since it is required in rehab extensively.
3. The meniscus has been trimmed much more than what anyone would expect
Due to these issues, I have been unanimously asked to have another surgery or two (for the bone density and ACL).
In conclusion, I would refrain anyone from visiting him for a knee surgery. I dont think his experience in shoulder surgeries translates well here. The most serious issue is that he maintained that his surgery was a success despite the issues apprent to other doctors (even a physio) could be either an effort to cover up his failure with dishonesty or plain lack of knowledge.
