Dr Beaton and Kathy are excellent! Dr Beaton oversees the care for both my Mom and I. She is a real wealth of knowledge and takes very good care of us. I continuously recommend her specialty to everyone in need of it.

I've been seeing Dr.Beaton for a few years now for my EOE. I'm so grateful for her and her knowledge. She is always so informative, even emailing more information when I ask for it. She is very knowledgeable and kind. Everytime I ask a question I feel like I'm being a bother but she's quick to reassure me that's not the case and answer all my questions. She makes me feel like I'm an equal when talking to me. Very happy she is my doctor.

The quack of a patient leaving multiple “ride and dismissive” reviews is a testament to the type of patient most doctors hate - irrational, functional patients, often with IBS, who think the whole world revolves around their non-sensical symptoms, which are usually due to their own mental health problems. But alas, they’ll just blame everyone else. Dr. Beaton’s rating is low because of one rager leaving repeatedly low reviews. Get a life. Previously she was 4.8. As a patient, she was fantastic and caring.

The negative reviews below make zero sense. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was incredibly kind and thorough. The nursing staff we’re patient and caring. The front desk was amazing. I was so nervous about my first time being in this environment and they exceeded my expectations. If you find yourself referred to this office, you are in great hands.

Not sure about the angry reviewer below BUT in my experience, Dr Beaton is kind, thorough and very professional. She has performed a number of endoscopies on me and even put in a balloon to widen my esophagus. At one point, she nicked a piece of tissue and there was some bleeding. She was so honest and told me to look out for any issues. Some doctors try to hide their mistakes but she was so open hearted. I trust her professional judgement a great deal. If you need a gastroenterologist, I highly recommend Dr. Beaton.

I saw her about 8 years ago and loved her. She got to the bottom of my problem and I’m forever thankful. I’m currently referring my son to see her. I agree with the other poster that the 1 stars are by a fake poster. She's an amazing doctor. Don't listen to the one star ratings.

She’s amongst the best physicians in the province. No one cares more about her patients. She’s regarded at LHSC as one of the most compassionate individuals and has win numerous awards for bedside manner and clinical teaching. There is obviously one angry patient in the below reviews who is on some sort of useless tirade and they are somehow able to leave multiple reviews. Their tone and sentence structure transparently come from the same individual. Maybe try to vary your score a little instead of just 1’s or at least try to vary your sentence structure. To the patient below - you’re an embarrassment to the world and you probably have a functional GI disorder that doesn’t even require subspecialist assessment. Give it up. I’ve known Dr. Beaton for years and she’s likely the best physician I’ve ever come across.

Hates the sick and anyone who asks questions. After the initial appointment when she made it clear that she did not have an answer she dropped my case. Cancelled appointments, no results, and no help. Pathetic.
