Very kind doctor who is also very helpful. He is so kind, that he has many, many patients!! Sometimes this is not a good thing because it takes at least 2 weeks to see him. ..no such thing as an emergency appointment.

Horrific experience!! Will never go to Innisfail ER if this is the doc working. Did not introduce himself, asked my daughter if she smokes weed and automatically decided she was a junkie. Unbelievably condescending and ignorant when she tried telling him her symptoms. He didn’t want to hear it and refused to do any additional testing. One nurse was excellent, so pleasant and cheerful. The second nurse however was a sour puss, openly rolled her eyes and was extremely rude at my daughter’s expression of pain.

If this guy is on call at the ER when you arrive, go elsewhere! Absolutely appalling bed side manner, did not even introduce himself before he started projecting condescending comments in an urgent situation. He had very little knowledge of anything related to my husband's situation and asked some ridiculous questions that immediately made us question his abilities. He ordered a follow up Xray, Blood Work and Urine Tests. Had one look at the Xray and Blood work and released my husband even though he has an intestinal blockage (proven two days prior in another ER) Told us the blood work was normal and nothing was wrong with him. We could see the Urine Test was not even sent to the Lab as it was still on the counter in the bathroom. Why order tests if you are not going to check the results? He did say that the Red Deer Hospital would be calling the next day for a CT scan. We waited until noon as this was urgent and called the RD Hospital. There was no urgency on the CT and a call for an appt was not received until 5 days later. Unacceptable as this is urgent and potentially life threatening. A few days later and proper follow up by other doctors has proven that an urgent GI specialist is needed and likely surgeries.
Thanks Dr Maree, for wasting our time with your ignorance and arrogance. Also, please buy some snickers bars for the miserable RN assisting you.

So thankful for Dr Matt! He truly is an amazing family doc. He’s been our doctor since we moved to Innisfail 7 years ago and has cared for my whole family since. He always takes time to explain results and listen to my concerns. Just awesome!

Best doctor that I have ever had when it had to go to the ER in Innisfail. Every time I go to the hospital it is so busy but dr Matt is always thorough in his examinations and very helpful when I have questions or concerns. I really appreciate the time and effort he puts in to make sure that he you are taken care of. Really one of the most helpful doctors I’ve had there.

Absolute incompetent doctor. Took my daughter to the ER because she was having pelvic pain so badly she could barely walk. During the exam he checked her stomach and back only, offered her extremely addictive pain killers, did 2 urine tests because they messed up the first one, did basic blood work and sent us home. He was very rude and condescending and cut her off every time she tried to explain what was wrong. When he mentioned her needing an ultrasound he didn’t even know who to contact or how, the desk staff was no better, then he filled lit the requisition wrong. This man should retire and do everyone a favor!
