Dr. MCDonald is an excellent doctor. Very knowledgeable, and thorough in his exams, explains everything and gives options when available. A distinguished sort of guy, not in to "small talk" which is fine with me. Appointments can run late but not a problem for me. The staff is not friendly or unfriendly, sometimes seem indifferent. On the other hand, they always get the job done. I recommend Dr. McDonald to all my friends.

Dr McDonald provided thorough examinations, detailed explanations of my visual problems and presented cost effective solutions. He performed two surgeries on both eyes with total success. As he makes every attempt to see all patients requesting his services, you may find that appointments run late, but a little extra time spent waiting is well worth the quality of service you will receive.

Dr MacDonald has been so knowledgable and professional treating my husbands retina issues. We are not out of the woods yet but the progress has been continuous. Dr macdonald is very good at explaining what is occurring with the eye and how the treatment works. Although the wait can be long it often has to do with the different tests required.

I have not been to the other location but the San Saba location was a horrible experience. The facility itself was nasty and not equipped. They didn't even have soap for hand washing. The waiting room was overcrowded and felt like we were cattle. Long waits just to be shuffled room to room and then end up back in the waiting room. They had cords ran across the walkways creating a trip hazard. Great for when you are just dilated and can't see anyway. They staff seem inexperienced and the doctor was less than helpful. All in all I will never go back and will talk to the doctor which referred me.

An excellent physician/surgeon with a terrible "chair-side" manner. I nthe operating room he is in his territory but in a one on one situation he is not very talkative. The wait is worse than awful with few amenities in the harsh waiting room. I will continue to see him if I have retina problems again and will recommend him because of his skill.
