I have been a patient of Dr. Foster and his staff for many years. Dr. Foster has seen me through Uveitis, Glaucoma, surgeries, steroids, injections and now infusions. These infusions are actually causing me to gain some vision back, which is tremendous after all that I have been through. Everyone in the office from Tech to Fellow to Dr.'s Foster, Hinkle, and Anesi have shown me nothing but care and concern for my wellbeing. His staff helped me fight the insurance company to get infusions approved, and I am so thankful for that. Those of you that are complaining about bedside manner, please ask yourself, could you be in any better hands for this blinding condition??? I know that I couldn't. If there is help to be had for Uveitis, it is at MERSI following Dr. Foster's protocol.

First I have to rate Dr. Foster as an A+++. I have had a reoccurring uveitis in the same eye 3 times plus an injury to the same eye and Dr. Foster took control of the situation and saved my sight in that eye. With any negative things that may be said about his "bedside manners", I say suck it up and let him fix your eye, in my opinion he's the best there is. The one problem is the office manager who overcharged me $500 due to a billing error and refused to return it. Fortunate for her, Dr. Foster is worth that and more so if that small amount helps keep him in business to help others, it's worth it. Representative John Hikel, New Hampshire

If you have lyme disease, but do not have 5 bands on a western blot plus recent positive PCR testing forget it. Positive PCR results for bartonella draw no reaction or comment whatsoever.Perhaps he has no knowledge of this disease and its ocular effects. Never mind that you can't see for the severe floaters. He makes it clear that you are wasting his time. Very unprofessional, rude and inhumane. In contrast the medical staff under him are great. If you go to MERSI, pick one of the other doctors.

Since our teenage daughter was fast losing sight in one eye due to Uveitis, we made an appointment with Dr. Foster, then made the 10-hour drive from Central Pennsylvania to Cambridge, Massachusetts. Upon arriving at his office on the day of our appt, we were dismayed to discover he was running at least 3+ hours behind. When we finally got in to see Dr. Foster, he spent MAYBE 5-10 minutes with our daughter, then said he was certain her Uveitis was the result of Herpes Simplex Virus. There was a test for it, but he said it wouldn't be worth our money since he was sure it was Herpes-related. My daughter requested the test anyway. Dr. Foster told us the results would be back in 3-5 days, so we remained in Ma. another 5 days. On day five, we called his office. We were told the results weren't in yet. So,We returned to Pa. THREE MONTHS,and numerous phone calls later, the results were in: Dr. Foster was wrong; it wasn't Herpes. We were back to square-one; only hundreds of $'s poorer.

My 6 year old child has been a patient of Dr.Foster for over 3 years now. He suffers from atopic keratoconjunctivitis, which is a potentially blinding condition. Today at our visit, I was appalled by Dr.Fostor's misconduct. My son has extreme sensitivity to light, making eye exams very difficult. Dr.Foster knows this of my son. After becoming inpatient with my child and saying " Well, that's enough for me!" he abruptly and forcefully removed the chin strap out from under my son's face. My son nearly fell to the floor. Then he proceed to yell at me about my son's inability to allow for examination and in front of my child said we would have to odd an eye exam under general anesthesia and that it will be " herrendous, and risky and just awful". Going yo the eye doctor is scary enough for a little boy, but we were abused ther today. Never have I seen this type of unprofessional behavior. He was in the room for all of 5 minutes. Totally disappointed. His fellow told me he "good & bad days"

If you have uveitis, run here. Do not walk, run. If there is hope for your vision you will find it with Dr. Foster and his staff. He saved our child's vision. We travelled from NY and it was the best thing we ever did for her. He works well with other doctors too. Just get there.
