My wife had an appointment with Dr. Vonkerman and was apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but during and after the visit Dr. Vonkerman is very knowledgeable takes time to answer all your questions plus he also answered my question even if I didn’t have an appointment. I learned more about my issue in the 5-10 minute talk with him then I have in my years with our family doctor.
I would highly recommend Dr. Vonkerman to any one who needs a urologist.

Was nervous to meet him from a few of the negative comments. But what a great doctor.. made me feel relaxed and explained everything so well. Even making jokes to make me more relaxed. Type of guy I’d like to have a drink or two with. Nothing bad to say about this doctor.

This guy is a complete joke. Probably one of the biggest pieces of s*^! I have ever had the misfortune of meeting in my entire life.
He was so arrogant that I half considered throwing my bottle of piss specimen at him.
If you have the misfortune of being referred to him.... run..... run far away in the other direction. In all honesty this so-called "Doctor" should be looked into by the college of physicians.

Dr Vonkeman has terrible bedside manner and is dismissive. He is knowledgeable and skilled but very rough and rude. He doesn't make you feel cared for. You'd expect better care when you are so ill you need surgery. I will change urologists when I need care again. His office staff are average, what you'd expect them to be.
He is knowledgeable. Appointments were always punctual. Staff are ok. He does his job as far as getting it done but has zero bedside manner. I am leaving a low rating for those reasons.

I never met Vonkeman, he took 838 days, 2 years, 4 months to contact me for an appointment requested by my family Doctor? He’s also denied me medical help in the Miramichi Hospital ? I’m a taxpayer!!!

Beyond a doubt,the most caring, knowledgeable doctor I have ever had ....made me feel that I mattered, excellent bedside manner.. Just a really nice, pleasant man,who happens to be a tremendous doctor!

My brother required emergency surgery and was operated by Dr. Vonkeman over the Canada Day weekend. Excellent experience, exceptionally attentive to the family and very knowledgeable and competent. I have worked in Health Care for over 30 years so I have concrete experience to make this assessment of Dr. Vonkeman's approach and competence.
