I was fortunate to have Dr. Abuhjar as a urologist and surgeon and highly recommend him to others. Dr. Abuhjar is a very kind and caring person who is supported by knowledgeable and courteous staff who are helpful, responsive, and accommodating.
I have been a patient of Dr. Abuhjar for several years and appreciate his expertise and patience in helping me understand my medical condition and the treatment options that were available. His expertise in performing the surgery and his thorough explanation to my wife immediately following the surgery was greatly appreciated.
His helpful bedside manner and availability to address any questions and concerns following surgery was also provided at the highest standard of excellence. I appreciated the detailed post-op care plan which provided information of what to expect in the months following the surgery. During my first post-op office meeting with Dr. Abuhjar he once again provided me with the time and patience to explain the precise location of the cancer and the results of additional biopsies taken during the surgery.
Based on my very positive experience as a patient of Dr. Abuhjar, I would highly recommend him to others who may be seeking assistance for their medical condition. I believe Regina and Saskatchewan are fortunate to have Dr. Abuhjar providing health care in our province.

It's scary finding out you have cancer but all I heard were positive remarks about this doctor. My family doctor and every nurse I talked to said he was an excellent doctor. They weren't wrong. He was very patient and answered every question I had.

I was diagnosed with renal cancer and Dr. Abuhjar performed the radical nephrectomy I needed. He explained everything in great detail pre-surgery so it was easy to understand what was going to happen and he ensured my post operative care was done properly. He even came in on his day off to see me in the hospital to make sure I was OK. His follow ups have been excellent and his office staff have always been polite to me and make the effort to ensure my follow up appointments meet my schedule as I do not live in Regina. I cannot say enough nice things about this doctor, his caring and humour made a frightening situation a lot less frightening.

I called couple of weeks ago and the office said that Dr. Abuhjar is not in the office but they are still open and i can go there to get my lab form. I was there for 2 days in a row and nobody was there and it was not even the lunch hour or close to the closing hour. I tried to call them but there was no answer. Left voice mail but nobody got back to me. Finally one day there was a girl sitting there and was smoking. I called the office when I was there to see if they are really busy or doesn't answer my phone intentionally. When I called, the girl looked at the phone ringing but ignored and didn't answered my call. This explains very well that why no one answers the call and return the call after leaving the voicemail as they are so busy in the “WORK”. That is not professional at all and that is not an office environment at all, I wonder why they said Dr. Abuhjar's office when you don't have the office environment because of the unprofessionalism I saw there . After reading the previous comments, it is seen that nobody cares enough about this matter anyways. But atleast don’t tell the person that they can be there anytime when you are not gonna be there. Everyone is busy in their life. No one has free time just to pick a paper.
People find a different doctor, don't waste your time and energy on the doctor which doesn't even know what is going on in his office and ask us to not to smoke when his staff is smoking right in front of the table. Moreover, no mask at all. She didn't even cared to put the mask in this Covid and work in the doctor's office and tell us to put the mask but that doesn't apply to them.

I talked with this dr 2 months before and he told me that somebody will contact me from his office about my surgery papers and then i waited and called but nobody answered. I also left messages and waited for 2 another weeks but nobody contacted me. Then one day i called and somebody finally answered and told me that I needed to sign the paper. How i am suppose to know that i need to sign the paper if nobody is going to tell. So, I wasted about 2 months for my surgery for nothing.I read the reviews before and i thought i finally found a good Dr but i don’t think after reading last reviews. I was not able to believe that somebody can smoke in the medical office as this is not professional at all. If you really want to smoke, you should go out and have a smoke not inside when you have work to do and God knows if you are getting high or what. When i went to sign the paper, I did saw the girl smoking something and she just hide that when she saw me. They really need to figure out as i don’t want to call after every other day as there are other things to do. If you don’t check your voicemail, then you shouldn’t have one.So that nobody can leave the message and don’t wait and waste their time.

Dr. Abuhjar is a great doctor. He is very polite, caring and helpful but it is really tough to deal with the staff and I tried calling his office so many times as it was really important to talk to him and I have tried that on different days but they don’t answer. The phone just rings. I have left messages but nobody got back to me. If they pick my call and I ask them a question to ask to Dr. Abuhjar. They just say that they will get back to me but nobody does and eventually I have to call them at the end and again I have to wait so many days to get a hold of them which is very stressful. What's the point of having the phone if you are not going to answer. I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!

I was fortunate to have Dr. Abuhjar as a surgeon and highly recommend him to others as he is an excellent doctor. Even through COVID restrictions he explained my health issues, informed me and my family about my progress with surgery and followed up with me about additional results and progress with recovery. His staff are helpful and polite and Dr. Abuhjar has great bedside manner so is easy to talk with and explains things well. I owe my health to him and he did an excellent job with my surgery minimizing side effects of the surgery and giving me the best outcomes for future. Highly recommend him for surgery

I was in the clinic couple of weeks ago for my dad's appointment. Dr. Abuhjar is a good doctor. He was very pleasant and very helpful. The one thing is noticed was that one white girl at the reception was using e-cigarette type of thing, not sure what that was but pretty sure that it should not be allowed in the reception especially when you work in a medical office. My dad is not comfortable around the people who smokes as he has a problem with smoking and I guess there are many more people who have that problem. Also, she was using couple of words which I found inappropriate. But the other girl was nice, she looked busy with the incoming calls and was very polite and helpful while taking to the patients but that girl was just sitting free and using her phone while I was standing at the desk and waiting for her to get free. Someone should really look into this matter, other things can still be ignored but that e-smoking thing was not cool at all.

He has no idea how to treat chronic UTI. I went to him after having chronic UTIs after the birth of my son. He just kept putting me on different antibiotics which has now lead to me having ESBL bacteria. (Even though I kept complaining that my symptoms never went away) He kept giving me the run around. Come to find out now that I have neurogenic bladder. Antibiotics won’t do anything until my condition is fixed first. Sooo frustrated that I wasted almost 2 years with this doctor!

I have no complain with the doctor. He is good and knows what he is doing. If you are looking for a Doctor, he is the one without any doubt. But when i called his office about my dad’s appointment confirmation, the staff was very rude and didn’t even had my dad’s appointment booked and didn’t even explained me why that happened or didn’t even said sorry. I do remember when i was with my dad in the office and booked the appointment by myself with them but still no records of appointment for him.
