I have been to Ben on numerous occasions and found him very sincere and completely interested in my situation.
I had a major operation resulting in a staph infection but for Ben's professional and persistent commitment he did not let this issue develop into a major development was testament to his attitude to his interest in his patient.
A true professional.

Dr. Gordon is very thorough and has a holistic approach. He considers all circumstances and endeavours to achieve the very best patient outcome. He dedicates time and has genuine interest in one's person. Great family doctor when you have kids! When Dr. Gordon isn't sure about something, he does thorough research. He informs the patient very well, follows up in the phone and offers assistance well beyond normal surgery hour when needed. Best GP I ever had.

It was interesting to read the comment below, because I too found the HeathFirst new patient form a bit intrusive. For example, it asked the patient's country of birth. I believe this info is of little medical value and should be optional; but the doctor was a bit pushy about it, perhaps, because the HeathFirst management wants it. But then, nearly each medical centre asks the patients private questions of no direct medical value: marital status, who you live with, occupation, employer..., and, despite what NPP says, we aren't given reasons behind such questions. It's just the way Australian medical system is: paternalism in a nanny state; but it doesn't make a specific doctor good or bad. Medical paternalism and lack of informational privacy are much broader issues than knowledge or helpfulness of one doctor. Personally, I did like Dr Ben Gordon. He's a nice man: attentive, considerate, he listens. And he talked to me about my condition/options as to an equal, which is very important!

A reasonable GP - attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. Quite young. I wouldn't say he is the best GP I've ever seen, but I have nothing to complain about either; perhaps, except for one thing: I wish Dr Benjamin Gordon would accept that some patients value their privacy and prefer not to disclose some private information that is totally irrelevant to the reason of their visit (though, it could be the initiative of the managers of the medical centre, not the doctor's; and, if so, I wish the management would realise what "privacy" may mean). Another area for some improvement could be the understanding that the medical system's guidelines are not always the best thing to swear by (again, the guidelines could be imposed on a doctor, but some doctors do leave some room for the patient's choice and opinion). Otherwise, my experience with Dr Gordon was nice. Would see him again.
