Wow what can I say!! She is Inconsiderate of patients time, feelings and is very RUDE. She is a heartless person should never be a doctor! Never allow your doctor to send you here! Big waste of time! All of her reviews say the same thing .. being a doctor and highly educated you would think she would take note to what people are saying and become a better doctor! She needs a course on how to be a decent person and treat her patients with respect, kindness and empathy to what they are going through!

The doctor was so rude to my mom. Similar experience as the other ratings, didn't listen, rude, and asked questions that were irrelevant. Most of her feedback didn't even make any sense, and kept cutting her off any time my mom tried to provide information relating to her condition. I think it's time to move again doctor!

Her secretary is very kind and helpful.. however Dr Zamel is the rudest doctor I’ve come across. I went in with my disable father and she was not helpful in anyways , in fact she spent the entire 10 minutes yelling at us to the point we just walked out. She has zero bedside manners and needs to be re-education in common courtesy. She cuts you off when you are talking and generally doesn’t care for anyone.

Dr Zamel had the worst bedside manner I have ever come across... and I have lived in and seen Doctors in 3 countries. I find her to be dramatic. She reviewed my chart and kept making comments like "Oh my God!" but could not explain what the expressions were about. She either doesn't like to or is unable to answer questions about your medical status. I have had about 7 appointments with her and each time I leave more frustrated and upset than the time before. My most recent appointment has left me in tears after she told me that some results on my lab work were very negative but was unable to explain to me what that meant. I will definitely be requesting a different endocrinologist referral. Stacey is the only bright side in that office

RUDE!RUDE!RUDE!
I wentse with my mother in law today for her appoitmnet, and ofcourse, all the comments bellow mine are true . When i told her that i read her reviews, she just answered that i can write one to if i want. She is very disrespectful. I hope we can find another doctor because this one is just paid for nothing. i would not give any star.

I have struggled over the need to vent here, as I don’t quite like to malign someone’s practice over an online forum, but my experience has not been v positive. It started well, and she seemed nice, but over time she became short, snappy and would disregard what I was trying to say. I have a medical background and my questions stem from my understanding of my disease, and yet she doesn’t care to explain her thought process or engage in educating me. It is after all patient centred Medicine, but here I am often smirked at or ignored. V poor bedside manner. Has no etiquette. Her staff Stacy is also short on phone, and likely is overworked/stressed herself. But that is no longer xcuse to brush people off. Zamel also doesn’t allow service dogs in the office- isn’t that a violation of the human rights code? V small office and waiting area, but her own office is huge!

Treats the patient like a set of data, poring over the numbers on the paper in front of her (having not looked at it before I arrived), and cutting me off when I try to explain my history (and believe me, I'm not a yapper). Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure a patient's case history provides critical pieces of data that can lead to a better diagnosis and management plan? There are things that had been tried unsuccessfully by the GP and she wouldn't even listen to me to explain what they were. She had such an air of hostility and when I tried to be friendly and make small talk, she wouldn't make an effort to converse with me. Ultimately she sent me to get blood work and had me leave the office to "see if it gets better over time" and come back in 3 months. Nope.

Decreased my dose just because she was too dumb to understand my history, and basically treated me as a person with no previous data. I knew my body and history and knew that her new dose is too little. After 6 weeks, of course she put me back to the initial higher dose.
When I asked her why she decreased in the first place she was extremely offended, and acted very rude from then on, and claimed it was because she didn't have my history (she did have my last several blood work on file, and I had told her every detail from prior to what she had on file)

Had to wait for every appointment. Then when it was time to see her she wasn't very courteous or polite. Was very standoffish and blunt, didn't handle herself very well in front of her patient. She charges ridiculous fees to get things signed, (like doctor's notes), which is frankly absurd. A fee is understandable, but $100 + is outrageous.
She is purely in it for the money and should not be anyone's endocrinologist.

She is probably good with text-book cases but no way otherwise.
Stacy, her secretary, is actually really nice and much better than a 2 that I gave her. I just don't want the good staff to raise the doctor's rating!
